It’s been four years since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals and moved across the world to southern California. Unfortunately for them, it seems that this move is now backfiring, as they’re being accused of being “massive narcissists” who have “alienated” the American people.
And that’s on top of their own desires to apparently move to Portugal!
Meghan And Harry ‘Alienated Most Americans’
Nile Gardiner, the director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the conservative Heritage Foundation, told Global News that he believes Meghan, 43, and Harry, 40, have had an “extremely negative” reception in the U.S.
“Harry and Meghan are viewed as just massive narcissists who spend all their time trashing the Royal Family. Most Americans really admire the Royal Family,” Gardiner said. “The Queen was hugely popular with Americans, and they don’t take kindly to attacks on the Royal Family.”
“All these attacks from Harry and Meghan, they’ve gone down very badly in the United States,” he continued. “They have alienated most Americans.”
Harry’s Former Classmate Speaks Out
This comes after a former classmate of Harry’s claimed that Meghan is “wearing the paints” in their relationship. According to this ex-classmate, this is exactly how Harry prefers things to be.
“He loved being ordered about and told what to do,” one person who attended Sandhurst with Harry told News Nation. “He was quite good at being in the military and really liked it…he especially liked being told what to do.”
“[Harry] was a good guy actually,” the former classmate added. “We all liked him. It was funny though – he did like to be the center of attention. If he wasn’t getting enough he would do something ‘wacky’ to get it until all eyes were back on him.”
This ex-classmate is saddened but not surprised that Harry is now estranged from his family.
“It’s sad he’s no longer talking to his family – but I can’t say I’m surprised,” the former classmate admitted. “Again, he liked a firm hand and he found Meghan. She’s clearly wearing the pants in the family and is the driving force so, really, she’s perfect for him.”

Harry Is ‘In The Thrall Of Meghan’
Tina Brown, a former Vanity Fair editor and friend of the Royals, opened up about Meghan and Harry’s situation last month.
“I think he’s pretty much in the thrall of Meghan,” Brown told The Ankler of Harry. “The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She’s flawless about getting it all wrong. She really is.”
“(Harry’s) the lamb to the slaughter in this situation,” she explained. “He was terribly impressed by Meghan. He thought that she knew all, she persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make them stars and all the rest of it. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”
Obviously, that scenario has not played out. More like the opposite.
In the end, Brown feels that this situation is a shame for everyone involved.
“The thing about Harry is he’s very good at being Prince Harry,” she stated. “And that’s the tragedy of all of this, is that he is the most talented member of the royal family, without doubt, in terms of being a prince, which is all he does know how to do … he’s really sort of flawless at it… he’s so naïve and really unschooled in the ways of the world.”
Only time will tell how all of this turns out for Meghan and Harry. Regardless, here’s hoping Harry can somehow make peace with the rest of the royal family someday!
