Meghan Markle Humiliated As Martha Stewart Takes Jab At Her Lifestyle Brand – Questions If She ‘Knows What She’s Talking About’

Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, was left humiliated this week when the legendary Martha Stewart spoke out to take a jab at her lifestyle brand.

Martha Takes Subtle Jab At Meghan

“Meghan, I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about,” Martha, 83, told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important,” she continued.

Though she seemed to not be a fan of Meghan’s lifestyle brand, Martha had nothing but praise for the actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Indeed, the Oscar-winning star has also been trying to rebrand herself as a lifestyle guru of sorts as of late.

“Gwyneth has been very successful; she created quite an interesting body of businesses.,” Martha gushed. “She’s admired. She won an Oscar for heaven’s sake as an actress! She’s pretty powerful.”

Martha ended her rant with a five-word message to her successors: “I don’t mind. Good luck.”

Gwyneth Discusses Meghan

This comes after Gwyneth publicly commented on Meghan earlier this year. Gwyneth and Meghan each live in the ritzy area of Montecito, California with their respective families.

“I don’t know Meghan and Harry,” Gwyneth, 52, told Vanity Fair in March. “I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.”

“Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie,” she added with a laugh.

Gwyneth went on to claim that she isn’t very familiar with Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever. She also alleged that she didn’t know much about Meghan’s widely panned Netflix series With Love, Meghan. However, Gwyneth still made it clear that she’s inclined to support Meghan, who was a television actress before her 2017 marriage to Harry.

When asked about the backlash that Meghan has received, Gwyneth said that when “there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.”

“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she explained. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”

Meghan’s Lifestyle Netflix Show Flops

Unfortunately for Meghan, her attempts at building a lifestyle empire haven’t been going so well. Her lifestyle show With Love, Meghan failed to crack the top 300 most-viewed Netflix shows in the first half of 2025. In fact, The New York Post has confirmed that it came in at 382.

In this show, Meghan tried to give viewers a how-to guide for entertaining, offering her tips on how to host at home. Critics widely slammed the program, with Radio Times columnist Caroline Frost writing that Meghan failed to “reimagine the genre of lifestyle programming.” The Telegraph editor Anita Singh agreed, saying that the show is “an exercise in narcissism, filled with extravagant brunches, celebrity pals and business plugs.”

Meanwhile, The Independent‘s writer Katie Rosseinsky gave With Love, Meghan a one-star review. She then went so far as to describe the series as being “queasy and exhausting.”

With Love, Meghan failed so miserably that it’s been reported that Meghan’s $100 million Netflix contract won’t be renewed.

“There are whispers that Harry and Meghan’s Netflix deal will expire quietly,” British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News. “I can’t imagine that either party would want to shout this news over the rooftops. They will hope it’s a smooth transition.”

Hollywood Ditches Meghan

A Netflix insider was quick to agree. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, this source said that Meghan and Harry have fallen out of favor with the A-list elites of the entertainment world that they’re so desperate to be a part of.

“No one in Hollywood rates them anymore or wants to be around them, especially her,” the source told Daily Mail. “People are bored with them.”

That’s why Martha’s latest comments questioning if she “knows what she’s talking about” are the last thing that Meghan needs right now. Only time will tell if Meghan can ever bounce back from this and find success in the lifestyle world!
