Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, has been desperately trying to win over the public as of late. Unfortunately for her, however, a new poll has confirmed that these efforts have failed miserably.
Meghan Humiliated By New Poll
A new poll from YouGov has found that Meghan’s popularity has hit an all-time low in Britain. Indeed, the poll, which was conducted between May 6 and May 7, found that just 20% of people like her in the U.K. Meanwhile, a whopping 65% dislike Meghan. This gives her a humiliating net approval rating of minus 45.
YouGov released a brief statement about the poll, saying, “New YouGov data shows that favorability towards Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is at its lowest point since it started being tracked in 2017.”
Ouch, that has got to hurt!
Harry’s Popularity Is Also Low
When it comes to Harry, he didn’t end up doing much better than his wife in this poll.
“Following the recent failure of his protection case and subsequent interview with the BBC, Prince Harry is also seen negatively by the British public,” YouGov continued.
“The latest YouGov royal favorability tracker poll finds that only 27 percent of Britons have a positive opinion of Prince Harry, with 63 percent having a negative view of him, his worst score since early 2023,” YouGov added. “Again, younger people feel more favorably toward the prince than older people.”
This means that Harry has a net approval rating of minus 36. Needless to say, this isn’t very good!

Meghan And Harry Most Unpopular People Over 65
Meghan and Harry are most unpopular with British people over the age of 65. In that age group, 86 percent disliked Meghan while 81 percent disliked Harry.
Though Meghan and Harry scored best with 18 to 24 year-olds, they were even divisive with this age bracket. Indeed, with British folks between those ages, Meghan held a net approval rating of minus 2 and Harry of net zero.
This is particularly distressing for Meghan, given all that she has done in 2025 to desperately try to win over the public.
In 2025, Meghan launched her Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan. This quickly backfired on her, however, when it was widely panned by fans and critics alike. Meghan then launched her new podcast about entrepreneurship, Confessions of a Female Founder. Unfortunately for her, this has also blown up in her face, as she has struggled to get listeners.

Prince William And Kate Middleton’s Popularity
Making matters even worse for Meghan and Harry is the fact that their nemeses Prince William and Kate Middleton performed extremely well in this YouGov poll. Indeed, it found that Kate is liked by 72 percent and disliked by 13 percent. This puts her net approval rating at plus 59.
As for William, he is liked by 75 and disliked by 16 percent. This means that he also has a net approval rating of plus 59. Those numbers are quite the contrast to Meghan and Harry’s!
Meghan and Harry have been estranged from William and Kate since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. In the years since then, they have bashed the royal family various times in interviews and books. Clearly, this was the wrong move, as the British public appears to have officially turned on both Meghan and Harry.
In the end, given Meghan and Harry’s behavior as of late, it’s not surprising that the British public has had enough of them. Only time will tell if Meghan and Harry will ever be able to turn things around!
