Last week, we reported that Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, had gotten bad news from Netflix. Indeed, insiders are claiming that her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan has not been renewed for a third season.

Now, things have gotten even worse for Meghan as experts are speaking out to reveal why they feel that her Hollywood dreams have crumbled.

Meghan’s Hollywood Dream Crumbles

According to the royal expert Helena Chard, it wasn’t Netflix that pulled the plug on Meghan’s show. Instead, it was viewers.

“Critics described the show as ‘bland’ and ‘stale,’” Chard told Fox News. “The phrase ‘as exciting as watching paint dry’ springs to mind. Meghan attributed the cancellation to the show being ‘a lot of work,’ but insiders believe it was due to dismal ratings. Recent data indicates poor viewership.”

“Likability is the most important variable in the equation,” added Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR. “Knowing that, media personalities tend to either overdo it on the charm, which viewers can see through, or they resort to victim marketing. Each has an increasingly short shelf life, and Meghan took a swing at both approaches.”

“If you’re not relatable and only marginally likable, you’re faced with a short runway to get the plane nose up,” he continued. “In the end, she simply ran out of tarmac with Netflix.”

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich chimed in to say that With Love, Meghan was slammed by both critics and viewers alike.

“Really, this isn’t all that surprising from a business perspective,” Fordwich said. “There was never a USP — a unique selling proposition. The only differentiator Meghan Markle had in this crowded lifestyle space was marrying a prince. She never earned audience trust. In this space, authenticity and relatability are critical.”

“The highly curated rental mansion was one of a plethora of silly mistakes, followed by so many cringe-worthy, inauthentic moments lambasted universally,” she continued. “It was deemed neither entertaining nor informative and less than inspiring. It was nothing more than an overhyped celebrity venture.”

Meghan’s Netflix Setback

This comes after insiders claimed that With Love, Meghan is not being renewed for a third season.

“It’s not returning as a series,” an insider told Page Six. “There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet.”

Other sources said that Meghan, 44, will be focusing on building her lifestyle brand As Ever moving forward.

“People will see similar cooking and crafting on Meghan’s socials for the brand, but more bite-sized,” one insider said.

It’s been six years since Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior royals. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised.

Meghan spent years desperately trying to achieve Hollywood success prior to her marriage to Harry, Though she eventually landed a role one the cable series Suits, she was never able to garner ted he level of fame that she was craving.

Given all of the setbacks that Meghan and Harry faced over the past year, it seems that they’re facing an uphill battle when it comes to their marriage in 2026. Only time will tell if they’ll stick together over the next few months!
