Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly “upset and stressed” and it’s taking a toll on their relationship.
The cause? Evidently, it’s the poor reception that is coming in over her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan Is ‘Upset And Stressed’
Meghan, 43, first announced American Riviera Orchard in March of last year. In the eleven months since then, however, Meghan has been unable to actually get the project off the ground. Tom Quinn, the royal author of the book “Yes Ma’Am, The Secret Life of Royal Servants,” is now claiming that the backlash over American Riviera Orchard has negatively impacted Meghan’s marriage to Harry, 40.
“Friends have noticed that like all couples Harry and Meghan have their rows and disagreements,” Quinn told The Sun. “These are made worse simply because, unlike most couples, they spend almost all their time together.”
Not to mention, they spend all their time in the limelight.
“The relationship also gets trickier when things don’t go well with Meghan’s businesses – Meghan was hugely upset and stressed when her internet home-making venture was mocked, and this took its toll on her relationship with Harry,” he continued.
‘Gimmicky And Uninteresting’
This comes after it was alleged that Meghan plans to launch a bottle of rosé as part of her brand. This only led to more backlash, with critics saying that this is just “gimmicky and uninteresting.”
And to be fair, it does seem like there is little more to it than the attachment of the royal name.
“Talk about being late to the party,” Air Mail reported. “Just about everyone who has surfaced on ‘Page Six’ has their own brand of rosé, and peak pink vibes are in the air.”
Meghan has already filed trademark applications to have American Riviera Orchard cover a wide variety of home goods. These products include tableware, kitchen linens, beverageware, coffee and tea services, and more.
However, Meghan does plan to sell original unique items, like jellies, marmalades, fruit preserves, and a variety of spreads and butters. She additionally will offer body soap, body oil, cosmetics, and pet shampoo.

Harry’s Alleged Unhappiness
This also comes as Meghan’s alleged troubles at home seem to be mounting. Quinn claimed that Harry is struggling to adjust to life in Los Angeles, which is not “all he hoped it would be.”
“Harry just doesn’t have anything to do: from childhood he has been trained to be a royal, attending charitable events and meeting the public and he has thrown all that away,” Quinn claimed after talking to a former friend of Harry’s in the United Kingdom.
“Friends say he’s made a decent stab at helping around the Montecito mansion, walking the dog and looking after the children,” Quinn continued. “But the truth is he is bored. He can’t leave the mansion without a security detail and the couple’s neighbours – many of whom are far more famous than the royal couple – take little notice when they spot Harry out and about.”

Harry’s ‘Biggest Sorrow’
Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they stepped down as senior royals. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. They eventually settled in the ritzy area of Montecito, California.
“For Harry, Montecito is escape from all the things he hated about his old life but it’s also the loss of the things he loved,” Quinn explained. “The biggest sorrow for Harry living in the States is not seeing his old Eton and army pals – much of this is down to the fact that they really dislike woke tree huggers and, rightly or wrongly, that’s what they feel Harry has become.”
Meghan appears to have put all of her eggs into this American Riviera Orchard basket. Only time will tell if Meghan is able to overcome the backlash and make her brand a success!
