Earlier this month, we reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were humiliated after Hollywood turned their backs on them. Now, things have gotten even worse for Meghan and Harry. Indeed, they have allegedly been “caught” in a major lie by none other than Kim Kardashian herself.
Meghan And Harry Allegedly ‘Caught’ Lying
Last week, Meghan and Harry showed up at the 70th birthday party of Kim”s mother Kris Jenner. Afterwards, Kim deleted photos of Meghan and Harry from the images that she had posted to Instagram from the party.
It was subsequently reported that Meghan and Harry had asked Kim to remove the images. Indeed, their camp alleged that the Sussexes had checked the “NO PHOTOS” box in the consent form at Kris’s party.
Kardashian insiders, however, aren’t having any of this. They say that Kim has officially caught Meghan and Harry in a huge lie. According to Kim, these consent forms never existed.
“There were no consent forms,” one source emphasized to #ShuterScoop. “Not for them. Not for anybody. Total fiction.”
When pressed for clarity on this, the Sussex team went radio silent. This was unusual for them, given the fact that Meghan and Harry are usually as chatty as can be when it comes to defending themselves.
This entire situation has reportedly made things worse for Meghan and Harry among celebrity elites. According to sources, Hollywood power players are calling this latest scandal the “saddest peek yet” into Meghan and Harry’s overcurated bubble.
“They didn’t get caught breaking a rule,” one well-placed studio source bluntly explained. “They got caught inventing one.”
PR Expert Weighs In
Public relations and branding expert Natalie Trice is now speaking out to warn of the long-term impact that this controversy could have on Meghan and Harry.
“This kind of post-party image control can come across as overly curated or even dismissive,” Natalie told Daily Mail. She added that this “won’t sit well with hosts who are used to the natural exposure that comes with high-profile event.”
“It sends a message that their team wants the access, but not the accountability that comes with it,” Natalie explained. “In Hollywood circles, that can be seen as both confusing and ungracious.”
With the holidays coming up, there will be tons of A-list Hollywood parties happening in the next few weeks. While Natalie believes Meghan and Harry may still be able to attend some of them, certain hosts may be more wary of inviting them than they were before.
“They likely will, but perhaps with more discretion or tension and may not be in that room again. The problem isn’t the attendance, it’s the after,” she continued.
“Hosts may be more hesitant to include them if it means dealing with image management demands after the event,” Natalie stated. “That kind of post-event fuss is not what most high-profile planners want to deal with during a busy season and won’t like being told what they can and can’t do.”
As for whether the Kardashians will forgive Meghan and Harry for this, Natalie would only say that it’s “unlikely” that they’ll all be seen together again anytime soon.
“If the Kardashians feel their generosity or platform has been undermined, they won’t forget it,” Natalie concluded. “Given how public the fallout has been, it’s safe to assume both sides will keep their distance for now.”
Meghan Desperate To Win Back Hollywood
This could not come at a worst time for Meghan. Indeed, she is desperately trying to win back over the Hollywood elites by returning to acting for the first time since she married Harry in 2018.
It was announced earlier this month that Meghan will be playing herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Close Personal Friends. This came as a shock to many, since Meghan had said for years that she was “done” with acting forever.
Before marrying Harry, Meghan spent years trying to make it as an actress. She eventually landed a role on the cable television series Suits. However, Meghan never came close to the A-list stardom that she craved until her marriage.
Whether you like the Kardashians or not, the power they have in Hollywood can’t be denied. If they’ve turned on Meghan and Harry as well, it’s safe to say that the Sussexes’ dreams of becoming Hollywood royalty could be dead in the water forever.
