Earlier this week, we reported that Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi had allegedly backtracked on fleeing America for England and were plotting a return to the U.S. This came months after they fled the country due to the second presidential victory of Donald Trump.

Now, insiders are claiming that DeGeneres and de Rossi find life in rural England to be “boring.” This is largely why the pair are coming crawling back to America.

DeGeneres Finds England ‘Boring’

DeGeneres, 67, and de Rossi, 52, moved to the rural British village known as the Cotswolds in November of last year. At the time, they thought that this was the right move for them both.

“It got them away from Trump’s America and provided Ellen a refuge to carefully plot her comeback without the noise and pressure that she had back in Los Angeles,” claimed one insider.

However, the source went on to say that “the day-to-day reality of life in the rainy countryside has gotten increasingly boring and frustrating for both of them.”

“Portia’s restless,” the insider explained. “The weather doesn’t agree with her and she’s got very little to do except take long walks in the freezing cold or sit around the house while Ellen’s locked in Zoom calls or brainstorming strategy for her eventual comeback attempt.”

Making matters even worse, very few of DeGeneres and de Rossi’s famous friends from Hollywood have come across the pond to visit them.

“Both of them are in agreement that it’s time to head back,” the source concluded.

DeGeneres Wants To Return To California

This comes days after other sources claimed that DeGeneres and de Rossi have reportedly been telling friends that they’re eager to return to Southern California because they “miss their friends.” They are also dreading the idea of going through another dreary British winter.

“Ellen was adamant that she and Portia were going to stay in the UK while Trump was in the White House. But evidently she’s changed her mind somewhat,” an insider told Daily Mail over the weekend.

“She’s been telling friends they are coming home soon because they miss them and can’t take the winters over there. And Portia wants to act again,” the source continued. “They will be here for the holidays and longer by the sound of it.”

“Ellen was very clear that they’re coming back to California sooner rather than later,” the insider concluded. “They miss the warm weather and their friends.”

DeGeneres’ Previous Comments

This is a complete 180 from what DeGeneres was saying as recently by July. When asked by a reporter that month if she’d moved to the U.K. because of Trump, Degeneres immediately replied “Yes.”

“We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in,'” DeGeneres said. “And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here.'”

Not stopping there, DeGeneres then claimed that they were loving their new life in rural England.

“It’s absolutely beautiful,” she alleged. “We’re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture – everything you see is charming and it’s just a simpler way of life.

“It’s clean,” DeGeneres added. “Everything here is just better – the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.”

Oh, how times have changed, right Ellen?

What’s happened to DeGeneres and de Rossi over the past year should serve as a cautionary tale to liberals everywhere. Indeed, liberal elites like DeGeneres and de Rossi love to complain about America. As soon as they move abroad, however, they quickly learn the hard way that America truly is the greatest country in the world.

We can only hope that DeGeneres and de Rossi are somehow forced to stay in England just a little bit longer. They made their beds, now they should have to lie in them!
