Last month, we reported that the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. At the time, insiders were claiming that Kidman was desperately “fighting to save her marriage.” They also alleged that she’d felt “blindsided” by Urban wanting to separate.

Hours later, however, Kidman, 58, officially filed for divorce from Urban, 58. This came amidst rumors that Urban had already moved on with a “new girlfriend.”

Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time. Despite this, Kidman is reportedly now backtracking a bit. Indeed, she has allegedly agreed to reunite with Urban for the holidays for the sake of their two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Kidman ‘Willing’ To Reunite With Urban For Christmas

An insider close to Kidman is claiming that the Moulin Rouge actress is “willing” to spend Christmas with Urban.

“Nicole has some very big feelings about all of this. But she’s insisting she can put them to the side and compartmentalize to create some happy moments for the girls,” the source alleged. “They’ve been pretty well-glued to her side since this all started, and they aren’t going to want to be apart from her for the holidays. So her plan is to spend time as a family with Keith.”

The insider went on to say that even though Urban has “been very busy with his concerts and studio work,” Kidman still “doesn’t want to alienate him from their kids.”

“So she’s going to be the bigger person and help facilitate this,” the source concluded. “It’s always fallen on her shoulders in the past to coordinate everything for the holidays, and this is no different. As much as she’d love to just take the girls home to Australia, she’s saying she’s willing to spend the majority of the holidays in Nashville to accommodate Keith.”

Kidman ‘Didn’t Want’ To Divorce Urban

Kidman and Urban secretly separated back in June, when he moved out of their Nashville residence and into his own home. This move was initiated by Urban, and Kidman then spent months desperately trying to save their marriage. It wasn’t until the end of September that Kidman finally gave up and filed for divorce.

“She didn’t want this,” a source told People Magazine after Kidman filed. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

In the months since then, Kidman has slowly been bouncing back from this heartbreak. Another insider close to Kidman claimed last week that the actress is “staying extremely positive.” That source added that Kidman is “looking forward to this as a whole new chapter in her life.”

“She was very sad for a while after Keith, that’s no secret,” the insider continued. “But over time she’s come to terms with the divorce. And she’s making a big point not to sit around moping or feeling sorry for herself.”

Divorce is never easy, particularly when there are children involved. We’re glad to see that for the sake of her daughters, Kidman is willing to put things aside to spend the holidays with Urban as a family. Please join us in saying a prayer for both Kidman and Urban as they continue to navigate this new chapter of their lives!
