Kevin Costner’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, who he was married to for 18 years and shares three children with, married his former friend Josh Connor on Saturday.
Baumgartner Marries Connor
Baumgartner and Connor, both 51, tied the knot at the Santa Ynez Ranch, a private vineyard in Santa Barbara, California. This is reportedly close to where Baumgartner was raised.
The outdoor ceremony was held just before sunset, and it was attended by just over 100 of the couple’s closest family and friends.
Baumgartner wore a dress that was designed by Mira Zwillinger. It featured hand-embroidered flowers throughout and a sweetheart neckline. After the ceremony, Baumgartner changed into a white satin strapless Lihi Hod dress with a sweetheart neckline and side slit. As for Connor, he wore a custom-tailored black tuxedo in a classic silhouette.
“It was magical—truly,” a wedding guest told People Magazine. “The setting was gorgeous, but what made it special was the intimacy of it all. This wasn’t a big production. It was authentic, heartfelt, and so very them. Everyone there felt like they were witnessing something really precious.”
“The joy and laughter were infectious, from the welcome celebration Friday night to the last dance Saturday evening,” another guest added. “Christine and Josh were glowing. And there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd during the ceremony.”
Yet another friend of theirs stated that, “For the couple, the most exciting part is simply building an authentic, joy-filled life together. They are embracing the peace of this new beginning—focusing on the everyday moments that matter most.”
Baumgartner And Costner’s History
Baumgartner was married to Costner, 70, from 2004 until they split in early 2023. Their divorce was finalized last year. The former couple share three children: Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, and daughter Grace, 15.
Shortly after splitting from Costner, Baumgartner began dating their former neighbor Connor. This was a particularly tough blow for Costner, as Connor had been a close friend of his. Their other friends reportedly took Costner’s side in this matter and refused to attend Connor and Baumgartner’s wedding.
“Kevin’s true friends immediately cut off Christine and Josh and would never attend their wedding, even if invited,” an insider told Daily Mail in June. “Their loyalty to Kevin is solid.”
Connor proposed to Baumgartner on a beach in Santa Barbara on January 26.
“It was about to rain, so almost no one else was on the beach when Josh got down on one knee,” a source close to the couple said at the time.
The insider went on to say that nobody close to the couple was surprised by the proposal.
“They spent Christmas in New York together last month, where it all began,” the insider continued. “They are both over the moon and excited for their future together.”
In the months since then, Baumgartner “has been enjoying being out of the spotlight and has been focusing on time with family and friends and building her new life together with Josh,” according to a source close to her.
Costner Finds Love Again
As for Costner, he’s reportedly found love again with Kelly Noonan Gores, the 46 year-old ex-wife of the billionaire Alec Gores.
‘Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time in his life,” an insider told Daily Mail last month. “He has been seeing Kelly. They were together in Aspen in late July. He has tried to keep it very hush hush because he doesn’t want this to go off the rails.”
“[Kelly] is exactly his type and they have a lot in common: the outdoors, sports — she likes to surf — long walks with dogs,” this source continued. “Also she has young kids and he loves kids, so he thinks that’s cute. He says she is just ‘chill,’ which is what he needs right now.”
