Earlier this year, we reported that Kevin Costner’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner had gotten engaged to the Yellowstone star’s former Josh Connor. Now, it’s been revealed that Costner is getting the ultimate revenge on Baumgartner for this through his “true friends.”

Costner’s ‘True Friends’ Get Revenge For Him

Baumgartner, 51, is preparing to marry Connor, 51, in a low-key ceremony in Hawaii. It was previously reported that only close friends and family will be in attendance.

A source close to Costner, 70, has since revealed that the bulk of the former couple’s friends have taken his side in the wake of his split with Baumgartner. These friends are planning to get revenge for him by refusing to attend Baumgartner’s wedding.

“Kevin’s true friends immediately cut off Christine and Josh and would never attend their wedding, even if invited,” the insider told Daily Mail. “Their loyalty to Kevin is solid.”

Costner and Baumgartner married in 2004. They went on to have three children together before they split in May of 2023. Costner and Baumgartner officially finalized their divorce in February of 2024.

The source explained that Costner has “come to terms” with their divorce. He also “understands where things went wrong” with Baumgartner.

“He has no regrets about his rise to fame, or about the time it takes to maintain his career. His success gave him everything he has today,” the insider continued. “Despite everything, Kevin is grateful to Christine for giving him his greatest gift, their kids, who know exactly who their father is.”

Baumgartner Scores Massive Child Support Payments

Costner and Baumgartner are parents to sons Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, and daughter Grace, 15. Baumgartner currently receives a whopping $63,000 per month in child support. She had been hoping to score $165,000 a month in child support, but the judge wasn’t having any of that.

“In the end, Christine walked away with much less than she expected, receiving a $1.6 million settlement and reduced child support,” the insider added. “Kevin is just happy that she has found someone who can support her expensive lifestyle because she wouldn’t be able to afford this wedding on her own.”

Baumgartner is currently living in a $3.5 million rental home in Montecito, California. She is often seen out and about there with Connor, a managing director and co-portfolio manager. He had been a longtime neighbor of Baumgartner and Costner’s. Indeed, during that time, Connor and Costner were close friends.

Costner has said in legal documents that he is not sure whether Baumgartner was faithful to him during their marriage. This indicates that he believes that she may have cheated on him with Connor when they were still married.

Baumgartner’s Upcoming Wedding

Last month, a source close to Baumgartner said that she plans to marry Connor at the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort in Hawaii. This is reportedly her “favorite place.”

“They both love the water, the beach, watching the sunset,” another insider said at the time. “A sunset wedding is a possibility.”

As for Costner, he’s been linked to various women since his divorce, but he appears to be single at the moment.

This has clearly been a very messy situation for everyone involved. As Baumgartner’s wedding to his former friend approaches, please join us in saying a prayer for Kevin Costner!
