Last week, we reported that “heartbroken” staffers on The Kelly Clarkson Show were slamming Kelly Clarkson herself for being “ungrateful.” This came amidst rampant rumors that Clarkson wants to leave her hugely successful talk show when her contract expires next year.

Now, insiders are saying that staffers are actually begging Clarkson to quit. Indeed, they feel that The Kelly Clarkson Show “could collapse any minute.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show Staffers In Panic Mode

This all started back in March, when Clarkson, 43, missed a series of shows due to unspecified “personal reasons.” In the months since then, Clarkson has allegedly behaved emotionally and erratically on set. This has left her staffers feeling uneasy and preparing themselves for the worst.

“Not feeling too stable,” one Kelly Clarkson Show producer told Daily Mail on the condition of anonymity. “She could bolt at any time. Where does that leave me?”

“Stressed is an understatement,” the producer added. “No one likes the uncertainty. This feels like it could collapse any minute.”

Clarkson is said to be considering leaving NBC when her $12.8 million contract is up for renewal in 2026. It’s been rumored that the former TODAY host Hoda Kotb, 60, might be replacing her. In the eyes of The Kelly Clarkson Show staffers, this no longer seems like such a bad idea.

“Everyone loves Kelly,” the producer explained. “She’s a wonderful person. But maybe Hoda would be a better boss. I know she’s universally beloved and respected by her former coworkers. Maybe she would be good. She sure would be a lot more stable than what we’ve been going through.”

“If Kelly is unhappy, then she should move on,” the producer continued. “We would all understand. If Hoda wants to do it, it could be win-win for everyone.”

Clarkson Accused Of Being ‘Ungrateful’

Earlier this month, another source claimed that staffers see Clarkson as being “ungrateful.”

“Kelly Clarkson is ungrateful, and she fails to recognize how her staff uprooted their lives in Los Angeles and left their homes to relocate to New York because they believed in her and they loved working for her,” this insider told The Mail.

This came after Clarkson seemingly spoke out against her own talk show while performing at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey earlier this month. It started when a fan told her that she looked “sexy.” Clarkson responded by expressing her frustration that her talk show staffers don’t compliment her weight loss enough.

“Every time I go to an HR meeting, I’m like, ‘How have I not been fired?’… they say you’re not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say [expletive] that,” Clarkson said. “Because some of those [expletives] are out here working, and we’re trying, and I want every mother-[expletive] that passes me to go, ‘Damn. Well done.'”

Clarkson went on to reveal that she has been scolded by HR for complimenting someone else’s transformation.

“They were like, ‘Well, it might make people feel bad that they looked bad before,'” she recalled. “I was fat before, so I’m saying I want you to say, ‘Damn.'”

Staffers Fire Back At Clarkson

Needless to say, this did not sit well with staffers on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“For her to abandon her own show and then come out months later and say that she did not agree with the way that HR handled comments she made about weight is incredibly disrespectful,” the insider lamented.

“Kelly’s appeal was that she was relatable. She made people laugh and she made people feel good about themselves,” the source concluded. “She has struggled with weight loss and it was a big part of her story. But suddenly she loses all her weight in an over a short period of time and now it feels like she is focused solely on her image. Kelly has caused heartbreak among staff.”

Clarkson has been widely beloved by fans ever since she won the first season of American Idol back in 2002. The Kelly Clarkson Show has been a massive hit ever since it premiered in 2019. Only time will tell if Clarkson actually ends up sticking with the daytime program!
