Kelly Clarkson is heading back to the red chair.
Returning to The Voice

NBC has confirmed that the superstar will return as a coach for Season 30 of The Voice, reuniting with longtime friend and fellow returning coach Adam Levine.
The network announced the news on Instagram, posting a montage of Clarkson’s past moments on the show with the caption: “Team Kelly has RE‑entered the chat. Kelly Clarkson returns as a Coach this fall on The Voice!”
Ending Her Talk Show
The timing of her return comes as Clarkson prepares for a major shift in her career. Despite the huge success of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer has decided to end the program. This way, she can spend more time with her two children following the tragic loss of their father, Brandon Blackstock. He died from melanoma last August at age 48.
Clarkson confirmed on Instagram that her talk show will wrap after its current season. Episodes will continue to air through Fall 2026.
She wrote, “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York.”
“There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for… and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”
Prioritizing Her Children

She explained that ending the show will allow her to “prioritize” her children: daughter River, 11, and nine-year-old son Remington.
Clarkson has been open about wanting to be more present for them as they adjust to life after their father’s passing.
The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in 2019 and quickly became a daytime powerhouse. The show earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Clarkson as Outstanding Talk Show Host.
Now, as she closes one chapter and returns to another, Clarkson is stepping back into the role that helped redefine her post–American Idol career.
