Last month, things got even worse for Perry when she split from her boyfriend Orlando Bloom, an actor best known for starring in the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchises. Perry and Bloom had been together for nine years, and they share a 4 year-old daughter named Daisy.
Now, Perry is making headlines once again. This time, she’s shocked the world after she was spotted out on a date with the former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Perry And Trudeau Enjoy Date Night
Perry, 40, and Trudeau, 53, were seen having dinner together on Monday night at the ritzy Le Violon restaurant in Montreal, Canada. Video obtained by Daily Mail shows Perry and Trudeau chatting intimately as they leaned towards one another at their table. Perry, who is in Canada for her Lifetimes tour, appeared to be gesturing with her hands as Trudeau listened intently.
A rep for Le Violon has since spoken out to say that Perry and Trudeau appear to have had a great time together. They enjoyed lobster and cocktails, and Trudeau even picked up the tab.
“Katy and Justin seemed to have had a fantastic evening,” the rep told People Magazine. The rep went on to say that Perry and Trudeau met Chef Danny Smiles. Indeed, after their meal, they reportedly went to the kitchen to thank the staff personally.
“They were super kind and friendly to the staff, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them at the restaurant,” the rep continued.

Perry Is A ‘Breath Of Fresh Air’ For Trudeau
Two close former associates of Trudeau’s told The Sun that the ex-prime minister is eager to see Perry again. She’s been described as being a “breath of fresh air” for him. This comes two years after Trudeau separated from his wife Sophie, who he was married to for 18 years.
Trudeau and Perry had reportedly been in contact for weeks after meeting at an event. They quickly bonded over their common goal of trying to make the world a better place.
“Justin always enjoys nice company, and Katy is the kind of woman that really caught his attention,” said one of the sources that worked with Trudeau during his time in office.
“Justin has been single for a while and has enjoyed getting to know her,” this insider continued. “He likes her personality, and they are two people who really enjoy chatting about different topics, and they click very well so far, as they are going to see each other again very soon.”
Trudeau Wants To See Perry Again
The date reportedly went so well that Perry and Trudeau are already planning to meet up again in the United States. Luckily for them, Trudeau is planning to spent a lot of time in the U.S. in the coming months.
“Whatever happens, happens. He is a single man, so is on the market and ready to start something new with a woman after a few rough moments after splitting from his wife,” the well-placed source explained. “[Trudeau] is feeling that talking to her and getting to know her is very refreshing, like a breath of fresh air in his life.”
“He was happy to connect with her so well, and that she appreciates him being a normal, respectful person who was very understanding of her recent separation with Orlando Bloom,” the insider added. “He isn’t the kind of guy that would rush things, and she seems to enjoy that a lot. It’s a gentlemanly way to behave.”
It’s been just one month since Perry split from Bloom, the 48 year-old Hollywood star best known for starring in the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchises. While they never married, Perry and Bloom were together for 9 years. They are parents to a 4 year-old daughter named Daisy.

Trudeau ‘Is Very Excited’ About Perry
The second source that worked with Trudeau said that the former prime minister and Perry had been wanting to meet up “for a while.” Perry reportedly agreed to the date “very quickly.”
“Justin isn’t shy about his romantic life, and he took her on a date, and he was very, very excited to do so and kept talking about it in the last few days,” the friend of Trudeau’s said.
“He feels like a young adult again, he is very excited about the process so far, and he really enjoys to get to know her and to talk about many, many topics with her,” the source continued. “Justin isn’t a guy who is easy to ‘catch’ and he has been having a lot of women trying to date him since he separated from his wife.”
