
Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are back on screen together once again. First starring together in Dawson’s Creek as Pacey Witter and Joey Potter, they are now looking at a new project.
Titled Happy Hours, it is a trilogy of feature films where Holmes is set to write, direct, and star. Production on the first film starts this summer in New York City, with the second and third installments scheduled to follow shortly after.

What is Happy Hours About?
Happy Hours is a trilogy of films.
In a logline release, the film is centered around two people (Holmes and Jackson), “navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love despite life’s inevitable obstacles. The film is a character-driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect as adults, with the connective thread of shared joys, loss, and hope.”

Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson may be starring in the film, but plenty of other cast members are joining them on the screen.
This includes Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin.

Behind the Scenes
Maven Screen Media and Bond Street Station are producing the film in association with Crown Productions and STX Films. Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler are producing for Maven Screen Media. Peter Coleman and Paula P. Manzanedo are producing for Bond Street Station. Annie Herndon will oversee the project for STX Films, while Jenny Halper, Sophia Pedlow, and Jackie Donohoe are overseeing for Maven Screen Media.

Holmes has appeared on screen and behind the scenes for several films and TV series. She is known for her work in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins and Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm. Holmes has gone behind the camera for indie projects such as Rare Objects, Alone Together, and All We Had.
She and Jackson starred in the beloved teen drama Dawson’s Creek for all six seasons, and she was most recently in Poker Face season 2, guest-starring alongside Natasha Lyonne.

Joshua Jackson
Jackson has starred in various TV shows, including Fringe, The Affair, Fatal Attraction, and the recently canceled Doctor Odyssey.
