Kathie Lee Gifford has long been one of the only openly devout Christians in the entertainment world. This week, a new video is going viral in which Gifford defiantly expresses her hope for Jesus Christ to return.

Gifford Begs Jesus To Return

Gifford, 72, made this wish in a powerful video posted to Instagram. Indeed, given everything that is currently happening in the world, it didn’t take long for the video to go viral.

“Every season, believers have said Jesus is coming soon, but now we’re getting stories of people all over the world receiving visitations from Jesus,” Gifford said. “And say, ‘I am coming sooner than you think. I am coming.’ And he’s only waiting so that more people can be saved.”

“And you know, it’s hard to watch the suffering of the world and not wonder why he doesn’t come,” she continued.” It’s hard. God doesn’t want anybody to suffer, but we do cruel and unbelievably heinous things to one another.”

Not stopping there, Gifford proceeded to double down.

“And those of us who believe in the goodness and justice and mercy of God say, ‘My Lord, why are you waiting?’ And he’ll say, ‘because I love them too. And I have a plan. It may not be when you think it’s going to come, but it’s going to come,'” she added. “Jesus will set his feet on that beautiful Mount of Olives right where he left off from. And all things will be made right there. And there will be no more tears, and there will be no more suffering. His promises are true.”

Gifford’s Strong Christian Faith

Gifford has never made any secret of just how much her Christian faith has meant to her throughout her life. Last year, she admitted to Fox News that she “could have never made it” without her faith.

“I’d be in an insane asylum without Jesus,” Gifford stated. “I’ve been through a lot of crappy stuff in my life. I’ve been blessed beyond belief as well. But I’ve had a lot of things that ended up being very public too, that would have put me away for a long time and done a lot of damage to my family, to my everything.”

“I was already holding Jesus’ his hand,” she recalled. “When you go through the kinds of things that I went through in the last, you know, 20 years, you just cling. You just cling tighter. You’re already there. You already have them. And I know people always talk about, you know, people coming to God in a foxhole. Fine. Whenever you come to God, it’s a good thing. The better thing is to come to know him early in your life and then cling to him for their whole life.”

Gifford Gushes Over The Bible

That’s why Gifford is trying to use her platform to encourage others to study the Bible.

“The Bible’s filled with incredible stories of drama and betrayal and, you know, bestiality, whatever you want. The Bible’s got it,” she gushed. “People just don’t read it. They would find out what an incredibly fascinating book it is. And I’ve been reading it my whole life. And not just reading it, but truly studying it.”

We applaud Gifford for using her celebrity status to spread the word of God. If only we had more stars out there like Kathie Lee Gifford!
