Last week, we reported that Joy Behar had missed four days on The View. This led fans to have fears for the 83 year-old’s health.
On Friday, Behar made her triumphant return to the ABC talk show. As she opened the program, Behar revealed her “very painful” injury that forced her to miss work for most of last week. Unfortunately for viewers, however, Behar felt the need to show off her injury as well by placing her bare foot on her panel’s table on live television.
Behar Returns To The View
Every episode of The View typically starts with all five co-hosts walking out to their table together. Friday’s episode, however, began with Behar already seated at the table alongside her co-hosts Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Indeed, it quickly became clear that this was because Behar is still struggling with her foot injury.
“Now, I’ve been off for a few days, as you might have noticed,” Behar began.
This prompted Hostin to ask, “What happened, Joy?”
“Well, here’s what happened,” Behar replied. “So I dropped my iPad on my foot, and I broke my toe.”
That’s when Behar took her bare foot and plopped it up on the table so that the audience could see her injury.
Nobody needed to see that, Joy, as we would have taken your word for it!
Behar Doubles Down
“But you’re so flexible!” Griffin joked in response.
“What they do is they put the toes together because it’s broken,” Behar continued, still showing off her foot on live TV. “And it’s very, very, very painful. I cannot recommend you dropping anything on your toe.”
“Wasn’t Sunny trying to talk you into a bigger iPad just a few weeks ago?” Navarro questioned.
“Yes, she was. Very sadistic of you,” Behar said to Hostin with a laugh.
Getting serious again, Hostin revealed that her orthopedic surgeon husband Manny had stepped in to help Behar with her injury.
“Manny and I hear that Joy has dropped his iPad on her foot. So I texted Joy, and I said, ‘Manny’s having office hours. Would you like him to go to your house to look at your foot?’ And that didn’t happen,” Hostin recounted. “But Manny said, ‘Have her send me a picture of her foot.’ And he asked Joy, “Is there any swelling or bruising? Because that is a sign of a break.’ She said, ‘Absolutely not. No swelling, no bruising.’”
“When he when he got that picture, Joy, I mean her third toe looked like her big toe. Come on,” Hostin added.
‘Everybody Needs A Foot Fetishist…’
Behar chimed back in to claim that she couldn’t see the severity of the injury because of the “glamour lighting” in her house. She also threw her own husband Steve Janowitz under the bus, saying that he is “half-blind.”
The uncomfortable segment ended with Navarro suggesting that they bring back the Oscar-winning Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey as a guest on the show. She made this suggestion because McConaughey once infamously gave Behar a foot rub live on The View.
“Everybody needs a foot fetishist in their life,” Behar concluded. It’s very painful.”
Just when we thought Behar couldn’t get any more gross or crass…

While we’re glad to see that it seems that Behar is going to pull through when it comes to this injury, her foot is also something that none of us needed to see. In the end, this is just another example of why it’s baffling that someone as crude as Joy Behar is still given a platform to spread her nonsense on a daily basis.
No wonder nobody watches The View anymore. Good riddance!
