Along with Trevorrow, Joe Epstein is in talks to write the screenplay for the film. As of now, there is no information about a storyline, though it would doubtlessly center around the family and their daily lives.
You may recognize Trevorrow’s name from several blockbusters, including Jurassic World Dominion, The Book of Henry, Jurassic World, and Safety Not Guaranteed.
Joe Epstein is known for Space Opera and Love Without Borders.
What is The Jetsons About?

The original Jetsons show starred George Jetson, a corporate suit dad, and his family, wife Jane, teenage daughter Judy, and son Elroy. The four live with their dog Astro and Rosie the robot, who takes care of the chores.
The futuristic world is full of flying cars, high-rises, and moving sidewalk escalators. Another prominent character in the series is Mr. Spacely, George’s irritable boss.
Hanna-Barbera Productions produced the series, which aired from 1962-1963. The series reboot aired from 1985-1987.
The Jetsons on the Big Screen
Over time, there have been a couple of attempts at getting The Jetsons on the big screen. The one success was a 1990 animated feature film titled Jetsons: The Movie.
After that, there were a few unfulfilled projects, including a 2003 version directed by Adam Shankman, a 2007 CGI version directed by Robert Rodriguez, and a 2017 animated version.
Other Hanna-Barbera Adaptations
The Jetsons isn’t the only Hanna-Barbera cartoon that’s getting live-action treatment. One of the most popular and recognizable live-action remakes is Scooby-Doo, which was released in 2002. Two years later, a sequel came out, titled Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed.
Raja Gosnell directed both films from a script written by James Gunn. In the films, Freddie Prinze Jr. starred as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, and Linda Cardellini as Velma. They grossed nearly half a billion at the global box office.
