Dinosaurs have been at the forefront of mass media and scientific discovery for decades, showing the dangers of these immense creatures but also revealing their pasts. 6. Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Starting our list of Jurassic Park movies is one of the more recent installments, World Dominion. The plot loses itself in a large cast of humans and dinosaurs, decreasing the appeal. The film takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar. Owen and Claire take in Maisie, keeping a low profile until the young girl goes missing. Owen and Claire must team up with the original three (Ellie, Alan, and Ian) to find Maisie and confront Biosyn owner Lewis Dodgson.

5. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

Next up for Jurassic Park movies is Fallen Kingdom, set three years after the Jurassic World theme park was closed down. While the film brings in the idea of gene hacking and manipulation, some confusing plot lines rank this film a little lower. Returning to the island, Owen and Claire try to save the dinosaurs as a once dormant volcano threatens to erupt. While Owen searches for Blue, he uncovers a conspiracy that could shake the world’s natural order.

4. Jurassic Park III (2001)

Fourth on our list of Jurassic Park movies is Jurassic Park III. The film put a fresh spin on heading to the island, but it can’t compete with the remaining films on the list. Dr. Alan Grant is happy to be far from Jurassic Park and vows never to return. However, he joins Paul Kirby and his wife, Amanda, as a guide over the island, unaware of their true intentions. When the plane lands, Grant is plunged into the world he swore he’d never return to.

3. Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997)

Rounding out the top three Jurassic Park movies is The Lost World. With a new and returning cast, two groups are on Site B looking for dinosaurs, and when they clash, the result is worth watching. Isla Nublar is not the only island with dinosaurs. Site B, located eighty-seven miles away, also houses the ancient beasts. A research team is sent to study the creatures, but InGen BioEngineering is also there, looking to capture and transport some specimens to San Diego. When the two teams collide, who will come out on top?

2. Jurassic World (2015)

Second on the Jurassic Park movies list is Jurassic World, set twenty-two years after the original park failed on Isla Nublar. The film brings a new cast to the franchise, upping the stakes with a functional park and a new type of dinosaur. Jurassic World draws in thousands of visitors every day. With the newfound success, scientists are ready to reveal a new breed of dinosaur, the Indominus Rex. However, when the intelligent dinosaur breaks free of her paddock, it’s up to wrangler Owen and scientist Claire to defeat the beast.

Last but not least on our Jurassic Park movies list is the original Jurassic Park. While the CGI is not as good as in recent films, the storyline, iconic theme song, and characters are what make this film unforgettable. John Hammond and a team of genetic scientists have created a park full of once-extinct dinosaurs. He invites paleontologists Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, along with his grandchildren, to show off the park. However, industrial sabotage leaves the small group of visitors at the mercy of the giant predators.
