Jennifer Lopez has just been hit with a crushing blow days before her international tour is set to kick off. Unfortunately for Lopez, this setback has her own fans turning on her in a time when she needs them more than ever.
At the beginning of April, Lopez announced that she will be performing her Up All Night tour all summer.
“To all my international JLovers, I’ll be doing a few select show dates over the summer,” Lopez, 55, said at the time. “I can’t wait to get back out there to see all of you. It’s been too long. It’s gonna be an amazing summer.”
Lopez went on to tell her fans to “stay tuned” for updates on her website.
The Up All Night tour will see Lopez perform 19 shows in 11 different countries throughout the summer. She’ll perform at a variety of venues that include everything from five-star hotels to music festivals. Some of the venues hold less than 10,000 people, while others hold over 20,000.
Luckily for Lopez, selling tickets to this tour hasn’t been an issue for her, as there’s been a lot of interest. What has her fans turning on her, however, has been all the chaos happening behind the scenes.
Chaos Behind The Scenes
One example of this chaos is the fact that Lopez had been set to perform at the five-star hotel, Rixos Radamis, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on July 4th. Much to the dismay of Lopez’s fans, that date has now been pushed back to July 30 “per her request.”
The hotel only informed fans of this date change on June 28. This was just six days before Lopez was scheduled to perform. Needless to say, this enraged fans, as many of them had booked rooms over the 4th of July weekend just to see Lopez.
“What about people who paid a lot of money to stay in your hotel to see Jennifer Lopez next week?” one livid fan commented on social media. Another added, “From my point of view, it’s the best of unprofessional attitude to your fans. Why advertise your concert in a few months and throw thousands of people away before the flight?”
“She has changed the poster four times already. It’s not that serious anymore. The scam of the century!” a third fan commented. A fourth wrote, “That’s not fair. We all bought the [rooms] due to this performance, and now it is postponed. Very disappointed (crying emoji).”
Some fans are skeptical that Lopez will actually show up for in Sharm El Sheikh, as she has a performance in the United Arab Emirates just one day before. This has left the fearing that the rescheduled performance will be “cancelled” at the last minute as well.
More Chaos On Lopez’s Tour
This isn’t the only tour date that Lopez has changed. She was scheduled to perform at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort in Antalya, Turkey, on August 5. However, this date has since been moved up to July 23. Lopez will now be performing at Festival Park Yenikapi in Istanbul, Turkey on August 5 instead.
“The event, which was scheduled for August 5, has been [changed] to July 23,” the promoter said. “We apologize for any inconvenience, previously purchased tickets remain valid.”
Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort is also a five-star hotel. It costs around $1,300 per night to stay there. In order to see Lopez’s show for free, fans must make a reservation for a minimum of four nights. However, they can also just purchase tickets for her show online.
An insider told Daily Mail that Istanbul is just one of the additional dates that have been added recently. The others are Tashkent, Uzbekistan on August 7 and Almaty, Kazakhstan on August 10.
“Extra dates have been added to her tour due to high demand,” the source said. “Jennifer will be announcing an additional date in a new city in the coming days.”
Another Tour Setback
Meanwhile, in yet another tour setback, Lopez changed the venue for her July 11 performance in Spain just two weeks before she was set to perform. At the end of last month, it was reported that Lopez’s concert in Malaga had “undergone a sudden change of venue.”
Lopez had been set to perform at Malaga’s Estadio de Atletismo. Instead, she will be performing at the much smaller Marenostrum stage in Fuengirola. The former venue has a maximum of 27,500 attendees. In contrast, the Marenostrum allows just 18,500 fans.
The promoter would only say that this change was made for “logistical reasons.” He didn’t elaborate any further, only apologizing for the “inconvenience” and asking for “understanding.”

Lopez Canceled 2024 Tour
This comes over a year after Lopez canceled her 2024 summer US tour, “This is Me…Live.” That tour was supposed to run from June through August. However, Lopez ended up cancelling it, saying that she wanted to take “time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” She later said that taking this time off was the “best thing” she’s ever done.
The decision made sense in August of last year, when Lopez filed for divorce from her husband Ben Affleck after just two years of marriage. She listed April 26 as being their date of separation.
After a difficult year, Lopez is desperate for this tour to get her back on track. Though her ticket sales are doing well, she might want to get her tour organized behind the scenes if she wants to keep her fans happy. In the end, Lopez can’t afford to lose any more fans right now, as this feels like a crucial moment in both her life and career.
Only time will tell how this turns out for Lopez!
