Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Spotted ‘Holding Hands And Kissing’ Weeks After She Filed For Divorce

Jennifer Lopez shocked the world last month when she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on the second anniversary of their wedding celebration. Fans immediately assumed that the split was for good this time.

That’s why it came as a shock when Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, were seen “holding hands and kissing” on Saturday.

Lopez And Affleck Spotted At Beverly Hills Hotel

Sources spotted Lopez and Affleck having brunch at the ritzy Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California over the weekend. Though they are in the midst of divorce proceedings, Lopez and Affleck were noticeably packing on the PDA.

“Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing,” one insider told Page Six. “The kids are with them, but at a separate table.”

The estranged couple was photographed entering the hotel with two of Affleck’s three children, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. His oldest child, 18 year-old Violet, recently started her freshman year at Yale University. They were joined by Lopez’s 16 year-old twins, Emme and Max.

Affleck ‘Could Not Keep His Hands Off’ Lopez

Another source separately told Page Six that Affleck “could not keep his hands off” Lopez during the brunch. This insider claimed that it was Affleck’s idea to have this outing in the first place. What he didn’t count on, however, was for Lopez to be so irresistible in person.

“Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off,” the source explained. “They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.” 

“It was Ben Affleck’s idea to meet there,” the insider added. “He wanted to show that they are friendly exes. He wanted those photos. You go there when you want to be seen. Paparazzi hang out there.”

Lopez and Affleck were also photographed having what appeared to be an intense conversation in a vehicle outside of the hotel. Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner even made an appearance at the brunch, as she was seen leaving with Seraphina and Samuel afterwards. Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck left the brunch together.

Despite their cozy brunch over the weekend, however, insiders say that Lopez and Affleck are still moving forward with their divorce.

“They are still moving forward with the divorce” and “working out financial details amicably,” another source told People Magazine. “They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out.”

The insider went on to say that “a divorce is never easy,” and “the kids always got along and have fun together. It makes [Lopez] happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority.”

Lopez Attends Movie Premiere

Lopez just returned to California from the Toronto International Film Festival, where she attended the premiere of her new movie Unstoppable on September 6. Lopez stars in the movie and Affleck produced it, though he opted not to attend the premiere. Instead, Affleck’s co-producer and close friend Matt Damon went to the premiere without him.

A different source close to Lopez said that she “was happy to be in the spotlight again because of work.”

“She’s so over all the attention on her personal life,” this insider continued. “The film festival truly uplifted her. She was excited to focus on work again.”

Lopez And Affleck’s History

Lopez and Affleck met in December of 2001 on the set of their movie Gigli. They became engaged the next year, only to shock fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 just days before it was set to take place.

Lopez and Affleck each went on to marry and divorce different people. Affleck married Garner in 2005 and had three children with her before they divorced in 2018. Prior to Lopez, Affleck’s union with Garner was his only marriage.

Meanwhile, Lopez married the singer Marc Anthony, staying with him from 2004 until they divorced in 2014. He’s the father of her twins.

Affleck was actually Lopez’s fourth husband. Her first marriage was to the actor Ojani Noa, who she was married to from 1997 until 1998. She then married her backup dancer Cris Judd in 2002, and they divorced the next year.

Throughout Lopez and Affleck’s entire relationship, there have been many twists and turns. It will certainly be interesting to see how their divorce ultimately turns out!
