We previously reported that the legendary former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan died on Thursday morning. He passed away at age 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Yesterday, we reported that Hulk’s estranged daughter Brooke had finally broken her silence to pay tribute to her late father.
Now, it’s been revealed that Brooke won’t be receiving a dime of the $25 million fortune that Hulk left behind. The reason why is nothing short of shocking.
Brooke Opted Out Of Hulk’s Will Herself
Brooke, 37, won’t be receiving any of her father’s millions because she asked to be removed from his will herself. Sources told TMZ that Brooke asked to be removed from Hulk’s will in 2023 because she “didn’t trust a single person around him.” Brooke reportedly didn’t want to end up in a financial battle after her father’s death. This led her to conclude that opting out of Hulk’s will was her only option.
According to those close to Brooke, she believes that she spent years trying to protect her father from people that she felt were trying to take advantage of him. After years of fighting with Hulk about this, however, Brooke finally contacted his financial manager and had herself removed from the will two years ago.
“Brooke’s saddened he didn’t trust her to have his back. But bottom line, she’s never been about money, and won’t be getting any from his estate … and she’s totally okay with it,” TMZ reported.
Brooke and Hulk had not spoken since September of 2023. This is when he married his third wife Sky Daily, 46. Though they were only married for two years, Florida law dictates that Sky is guaranteed at least 30% of Hulk’s estate. As his wife, Sky is entitled to this money even if Hulk never got the chance to update his will or trust before his death.
Estate Expert Weighs In
Florida estate expert and paralegal June Frederiksen told The Sun that Hulk likely had “very in-depth estate planning.”
“You set up a trust to protect your assets, so you run everything through the trust,” the expert explained. “He married Sky two years ago, so he probably updated the trust so she would get a spousal elective share.”
“Even if Sky was left out of his estate and he didn’t update his trust since they married, she would still get a spousal elective share, which she is entitled to 30% in Florida,” June continued.
June went on to say that Brooke can “contest” the will if she wants to. If she does this, the legal battle will probably end up in probate court. However, it doesn’t sound like this will be happening, as Brooke seems to be just fine with not being in the will at the moment.
The good news for Brooke is that she will be receiving some money from a small life insurance trust that Hulk took out before his death. Brooke is one of the beneficiaries, and she’s grateful to be getting this money.
An insider close to Brooke claimed that she plans to put this money towards her young children’s college funds. Brooke is the mother of twins that she gave birth to in January of 2025. She shares them with her husband, the former NHL star Steven Oleksy.
Brooke Honors Her Father With Emotional Tribute
On Tuesday, five days after Hulk’s death, Brooke took to Instagram to pay tribute to him.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,” Brooke wrote.
Later in her post, Brooke opened up about how difficult her father’s death has been for her, even after their estrangement.
“When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” she stated. “He used to remind me, ‘All of this is temporary and I’ll always find my way back to you.’ I truly believe that — we will find each other in every lifetime.”
“I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have,” Brooke added. “His hugs were my home. Wrapping my arms around him always made me feel like his little girl, even as I grew up.”

Brooke’s ‘World Is Forever Changed…’
“All I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection,” Brooke subsequently concluded. “And for a few special years, I had that — with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But I’m deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of life’s greatest gifts. I’m deeply grateful for the love, tributes, and memorials from his fans and friends. His life was one worth celebrating — and always will be.”

Though the exact terms of Hulk’s will are unknown, it’s likely that his fortune will be split largely among Sky and his son Nick, 35. Unlike his relationship with Brooke, Hulk remained very close to Nick until his death.
While it’s sad that Hulk and Brooke were not able to mend their relationship before his death, it’s also refreshing to see a celebrity who appears to not be motivated by money. Indeed, Brooke appears to have other priorities in mind over getting her hands on her father’s fortune.
Please join us in saying a prayer for Brooke and the rest of the Hogans as they continue to mourn this devastating loss.
