On September 16, the music mogul and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, was arrested and charged with human trafficking and racketeering. He was then denied bail and remanded to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Diddy remains there this day.

Monday is Diddy’s 55th birthday, and he will be celebrating it behind bars. Here’s what he can expect today when it comes to this birthday.

Diddy’s Birthday In Jail

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ national menu, as the birthday boy of the day, Diddy will be granted access to fruit, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, biscuits, “oven brown potatoes” and spreads like jelly and margarine for breakfast.

Yum!

Assuming Diddy has money in his commissary account, he can also buy himself Nutella, Snickers, macaroni and cheese, and hot chocolate. As far as birthdays go at the Metropolitan Detention Center, however, that’s about all that Diddy can expect in terms of celebrations and gifts.

Inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center can have “breakfast cake” for breakfast, which is starts at 6am, any day of the year. This isn’t specific to Diddy’s birthday.

Coffee is only served at this facility on weekends. Pancakes are available on Wednesdays, while French toast with syrup is served on Fridays.

Lunch And Dinner For Diddy

Diddy will be able to enjoy lunch with his fellow inmates at 11am. The lunch menu on Mondays includes Southwest chicken wraps, chicken tacos, cheese pizza, or three-bean chili. Side dishes that inmates can choose from include green beans, rice, salsa or cole slaw. Inmates are all given fruit with their lunches. While dessert is also given to them on some days, Monday is not one of them.

Is it just us, or do these prisoners get better food than school kids?

Then comes dinner just after 4pm. The Metropolitan Detention Center dinner menu includes turkey roast, rice, green peas, gravy, whole wheat bread and beverage, and chicken or tofu fried rice, black beans, carrots, whole wheat bread and beverage.

Dessert is never served with dinner. Sorry, Diddy, no birthday dessert for you!

Last month, Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo admitted that the food options have been the toughest part of the music mogul’s time behind bars.

“I think the food’s probably the roughest part of it,” Agnifilo said on October 10.

Poor guy!

Metropolitan Detention Center Is ‘Hell On Earth’

Life at the Metropolitan Detention Center has been described as “hell on earth.” Prison expert James Pipe told The Sun that Diddy’s “time at MDC reflects the routines and regulations set for all inmates, designed to balance operational security with the needs of those housed at the facility.”

“As Combs awaits trial, he will experience the daily regimen shared by past high-profile inmates, with limited but structured access to basic resources,” he continued.

Larry Levine, the director and founder of Wall Street Prison Consultants, told Daily Mail that Diddy is living a “sad” and “lonely” existence in jail. He added that Diddy is getting daily visits from the psych team at the prison “to make sure that he’s okay” even though he is “not really on suicide watch.”

Levine explained that Diddy has “somebody from the psychology department coming out to visit with him, so it’s like a game that they play with the inmates. Remember, he’s not playing chess. He’s in a cell by himself.”

Diddy’s Alleged ‘Extra Showers’

However, Levine also alleged that Diddy may be getting preferential treatment in the form of “extra showers” every week.

“My sources are telling me that [Combs] is getting extra showers a week,” Levine claimed. “I don’t know how many. It probably varies. They’re giving them extra privileges.”

That being said, Levine believes that Diddy is being treated like every other inmate, for the most part.

“Many assume celebrities receive special treatment in prison, but that’s a misconception,” Levine explained. “If P. Diddy were to serve time, he’d experience the same restrictive environment as any other inmate, with strict regulations and limited autonomy.”

Levine concluded that Diddy is likely having a “lonely experience” behind bars. This will certainly be a very different birthday for Diddy than his previous ones!
