We previously reported that the former All In The Family star Rob Reiner was found dead along with his wife Michele on Sunday, December 14. They were allegedly stabbed to death by their own son Nick, who reportedly slit each of their throats. He has since been arrested and charged with their double murders.

Now, a chilling old clip from All In The Family has just resurfaced. In the wake of what happened to Reiner and his wife, the clip is going viral. Indeed, it’s sending chills down the spines of anyone who watches it.

Chilling All In The Family Clip

Reiner portrayed Meathead, the son-in-law of Carroll O’Connor’s iconic character of Archie Bunker, on All In The Family from 1971 until 1979. In a 1971 episode, Meathead and Archie get into an argument over the use of the death penalty for a cut-throat murderer.

“Suppose you was to come home some fine day and find your wife’s throat cut.” Archie asked Meathead in the clip. “Are you gonna tell me you wouldn’t be itchin’ to fry the guy that cut that throat?”

While filming this scene, Reiner had no idea that over half a century later, his own wife would have her throat slit, as would he.

Meathead, who was a far-left liberal on the show just like Reiner was, knew his answer immediately back then.

“No, what good would that do?” Meathead fired back at Archie.

“Do you see what you married?” Archie questioned his daughter Gloria, who was portrayed by Sally Struthers. She’s now the last surviving member of the fictional Bunker family at 78 years of age, the same age Reiner was when he was killed.

“Some fiend could come in here and murder you and he ain’t going to lift a finger to help you,” Archie continued.

“Archie, if I killed that murderer, would that bring Gloria back?” Meathead asked.

Ironically, Reiner’s son Nick, 32, is now potentially facing the death penalty if he is convicted of his parents’ double murders. Check out the disturbing clip for yourself in the video below.

The Reiner Murders

The Reiners were last seen on the night of Saturday, December 13, when they attended a Christmas party with Nick that was hosted by Conan O’Brien. There, Nick was seen acting strangely, and other guests saw him get into a heated argument with Rob.

“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” a source told People Magazine.

Rob, Michele, and Nick eventually left the party together. It is believed that Nick killed them in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Later that day, a masseuse arrived at the Reiner home for a prescheduled appointment. When nobody answered the door, the masseuse called the Reiners’ 27 year-old daughter Romy, who lives across the street.

Romy was able to enter the home, only to find the body of her father. She immediately fled and told her roommate, who was waiting outside, to call the police. Romy was so distraught by the bloody scene that she didn’t notice the body of her mother. She had to be told by paramedics upon their arrival that her mother was dead as well.

Nick was apprehended around six hours later near the University of Southern California campus. By then, he had checked into a local hotel, with his room there being covered in blood.

Whether you were a fan of Reiner’s or not, it can’t be denied that what happened to him and his wife is an unspeakable tragedy. In the wake of Reiner’s murder, that All In The Family clip has taken on a new meaning, and it simply could not be more haunting.

Rest in peace, Rob and Michele Reiner.
