The Hollywood star Sebastian Stan, best known for his portrayal as Bucky Barnes in Marvel films, transformed into the former President Donald Trump in the first teaser for the upcoming movie The Apprentice.

The clip has gone viral online.

Teaser For The Apprentice Movie

The teaser shows a young Trump (Stan) in the car with power lawyer and fixer Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong). The two men are speaking on the phone with a reporter about Trump’s plans to buy the Commodore Hotel, which is now known as the Hyatt Grand Central New York.

“Donald, now that the lawsuit is behind you, what do you want to do next?” the reporter asks.

“I’m planning on making it the best and the finest building in the city … maybe the country,” Trump replies.

Cohn urges him to talk more about his vision for the hotel as he coaches the man who would become president one day.

“In the world. It’s going to be the finest building in the world,” Trump tells the reporter. “It’s going to be a spectacular hotel. Absolutely spectacular. First class.”

‘I’ve Got Flair’

After Cohn mouthed the plans to Trump, the reporter states that the ideas were “very ambitious.”

“Where do you get the drive?” she asks Trump. “You’re still so young.”

“I’ve got flair and I’m smart and I think that’s going to make me successful,” Trump replies as he goes off Cohn’s script.

After Cohn tells Trump to “slow down,” Trump clarifies to the reporter, “But I also want to stay humble.”

Cohn then grabs the phone from Trump and tells the reporter that they’ll finish the interview in person when a photographer can be present. The clip ends with Trump apologizing to Cohn, who responds, “Listen, it’s your life. You got a ways to go, but you’re learning.”

The Apprentice

Directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, The Apprentice tells the story of Trump’s rise to fame in the 1970s and 1980s. It focuses on his relationship with Cohn, who worked closely with Trump before his death in 1986. The film also depicts Trump’s relationship with his first wife Ivana Trump (Maria Bakalova).

The Apprentice premiered back in May at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation that lasted eight minutes.

“A young Donald Trump eager to make his name as a hungry scion of a wealthy family in 1970s New York, comes under the spell of Roy Cohn, the cutthroat attorney who would help create the Donald Trump we know today,” the film’s official description reads. “Cohn sees in Trump the perfect protégé — someone with raw ambition, a hunger for success, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to win.”

Trump Sends Cease And Desist

The former President Trump, 78, sent a cease and desist letter to the producers of the movie over a violent scene.

“We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told The New York Post. “This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.”

After struggling to find a distributor for quite some time, The Apprentice was finally picked up by Briarcliff Entertainment.

“This project has been pretty crazy, from beginning to the end,” the film’s director Abbasi told The Associated Press. “It’s still not completely there. It’s going to get more crazy, maybe.”

It is set to hit theaters next month on October 11.
