Back in December, we reported that the former Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Now, an update about Phil has just come in, and it involves his beloved wife Miss Kay.
Phil And Kay Are Reunited
On the latest episode of the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast, Jase and Al Robertson revealed that their parents Phil and Kay have been reunited at a care facility.
“We now have Phil and Kay back together. It has been fantastic,” Jase said.
Jase revealed in a previous podcast episode that Phil has been in “professional care” for months. Meanwhile, Kay is currently at the hospital recovering from an infection that she got from a cut that she received in a fall.
“My dad’s not doing great overall, and my mom is not doing great physically,” Jase admitted. “She has to have pretty much 24/7 professional healthcare, but my dad, it’s like, ‘You’re helping her morale.’ She’s helping his morale.”
“He’s been so much calmer since she came back,” Al chimed in to add.
Jase went on to say that family and friends have been visiting the couple. Kay’s visitors have been branded “Kay’s Kingdom,” while Phil has his own “kingdom” of visitors.
“They’re in a facility where there are other people, but they have their own little private room,” Jase said. “It’s great. And so, they’re helping each other, so that’s been positive.”
Jase added that “the challenge has been, we have so many people coming up there, we’re being disruptive. We’ll have to address that later.”

Phil’s Condition Is ‘Not Good’
This comes after Jase and Al revealed earlier this month that Phil is not doing well amidst his Alzheimer’s battle.
“The No. 1 question I get everywhere I go [is], ‘How’s your dad doing?’ Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth. I say, ‘Not good,'” Jase disclosed.
Jase then said that his cousin Zach had recently visited Phil. Indeed, he clearly had a tough time dealing with Phil’s current condition.
“I pulled in when Zach was coming out … and I was like, ‘How’d that go?'” Jase recalled. “And Zach just lost it, you know, and I kind of realized in that moment when you’re in these battles day by day you kind of compartmentalize everything just so you can deal with it.”
“We’re making him comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. I think that’s just what you do,” he concluded.
Phil’s Alzheimer’s Battle
It was back in December that Jase revealed that his father was in the “early stages of Alzheimer’s.”
“It’s like accelerated, and it’s causing problems with his entire body. And he has early stages of Alzheimer’s,” Jase said at the time. “So, if you put those things together, he’s really not doing well. He’s struggling.”
Jase’s brother Willie then told Fox News that Phil is “battling a lot of different things right now.”
“He’s got a blood disorder, and then he’s got the mental issues that could be early [on-set] Alzheimer’s … and probably some mini-strokes because of his blood,” Willie explained. “And so, it could be some stroke stuff happening, that has happened.”
“So, we’re still checking on all that. But then he also has a back issue,” Willie continued. “He’s fractured his back and that’s where the pain’s at. So, he’s kind of battling many different things at the same time.”
While we’re glad that Phil and Kay have been reunited, this has clearly been a very difficult time for the entire Robertson family. Please join us in saying a prayer for them!
