During the Oscars on Sunday night, many were shocked when the A-list Hollywood star Demi Moore lost the Best Actress award to the much younger newcomer Mikey Madison. Indeed, social media erupted, with users declaring that Moore was “robbed.”
As insiders are saying that Moore has been left “heartbroken” by her Oscars loss, she’s dealing with it in a surprisingly zen way.
Moore Reacts To Oscars Loss
After the Oscars’ ended, Moore’s daughter Tallulah Willis, who she shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis, took to social media to update fans on how her mother was handling her defeat. She posted a cute photo of Moore relaxing in a white robe as she cuddles with her beloved dog Pilaf. Moore could also be seen snacking on two enormous bowls of french fries, seemingly treating herself after a long and grueling awards season.
“MY winner,” Willis simply captioned the post alongside a french fry emoji.

Moore’s Awards Season
Moore, 62, had been widely considered to be the frontrunner for the Best Actress for her work in the body horror movie The Substance. She’d already won the Golden Globe, SAG Award, Critic’s Choice Award, and many others for her role in that movie.
Moore also won over the hearts of many voters with her touching Golden Globe speech. There, she admitted that it was the first time she’d ever won an award for acting, despite decades of working in Hollywood.
“I thought a few years ago that this was it. Maybe I was complete. I’d done what I was supposed to do. At a low point, this bonkers script came across my desk. The universe told me I’m not done,” Moore said in her Golden Globes acceptance speech. She added that winning that award was “a reminder that I do belong.”

Moore Shockingly Loses To Madison
Unfortunately for Moore, however, the 25 year-old Mikey Madison ended up beating her out at the Oscars for her work in Anora. Though Moore had come out victorious over Madison at many awards shows this season, the young newcomer managed to win the BAFTA, which is the British version of the Oscars.
This was the first indication that Moore could be in trouble when it came to the biggest award of the year. Sure enough, it was Madison who was able to take home the Oscar.

Moore Privately ‘Heartbroken’ Over Her Loss
A source has since told Page Six that Moore “can’t help but feel heartbroken” over this loss. According to this insider, Moore “was really hopeful that she had secured this win.”
“Demi is taking this loss very hard because she felt like this was finally her chance to take home an Academy Award,” the insider continued. The source added that Moore “is thrilled for Mikey and all the other women who were nominated for this award.”
“But of course, it was a huge disappointment not hearing her name be called,” the insider concluded.
