Trevorrow’s Past Projects

Colin Trevorrow worked on other projects before jumping into the Jurassic franchise. His breakout film was Safety Not Guaranteed, released in 2012, which blew away audiences at the Sundance Film Festival.

Not long after, Trevorrow landed the Jurassic World job and helped relaunch the franchise. He then wrote and executive produced Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom before heading back to the director’s chair for Jurassic World: Dominion.

Aliens in Past and Future Films

Aliens and Area 51 have always been a popular topic in Hollywood films.

Area 51 is a military base in Nevada that has been a subject of numerous conspiracy theories for decades. The most popular conspiracy revolves around the base covering up the presence of aliens.

This has led many screenwriters and filmmakers to pursue the mystery surrounding the location, featured in several films in the past like Independence Day, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Venom: The Last Dance.

Today, Trevorrow’s project joins one of the many future alien-based projects. Steven Spielberg is working on an original UFO film for Universal Pictures, while Apple acquired another film on UFOs, now known as UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena).

It will be interesting to see how these new original films fare and whether they will stack up to popular franchises.
