The devoutly Christian singer Justin Bieber has announced that he is expecting his first child with his wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber, who he’s been married to for nearly six years.
Justin And Hailey Expecting First Child After Health Struggles
Justin, 30, and Hailey, 27, announced her pregnancy on Instagram by posting photos of themselves cradling her baby bump during a secret vow renewal in Hawaii. Hailey showed off her baby bump while wearing a Saint Laurent lace wedding dress that was designed by Anthony Vaccarello, pairing it with a flowing veil.
Insiders are saying that the couple, who married in September of 2018, decided to get pregnant now after each of them went through various “health struggles.”
“With both of them having various health struggles, they decided now, as opposed to trying a little later, would be the best time to have children,” an insider told Daily Mail.
“They are still young and will be able to enjoy being parents,” the source continued. “As they grow old, they can watch their kids grow old too.”
This comes two years after Hailey suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or “mini stroke” in March of 2022 while at breakfast with Justin. It was later revealed that she had a Patent foramen ovale (PFO), which is a hole between the left and right atria (upper chambers) of the heart, and this caused a blood clot.
Months later, Justin was left with facial paralysis as a result of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. The singer, who also has Lyme’s disease, begged his fans to “pray” for him after the rare neurological condition made it “progressively harder to eat.”

Justin And Hailey ‘Feel So Blessed’
Another source explained that Justin and Hailey were determined to keep her pregnancy private for as long as possible so that they could just enjoy it as a couple.
“When they found out that Hailey was pregnant, it was just the best day for them. They have both been very emotional about it,” this source told People Magazine. “They feel so blessed. They’ve also felt very protective of the baby from the moment they found out.”
“They shared with family and close friends early on. It was important for them to keep it quiet and just enjoy for as long as possible before they publicly confirmed though,” the insider added. “They asked their friends to not share until they were ready to announce.”

Justin’s Christian Faith
Justin has long been known for his strong Christian faith. Back in 2015, Justin revealed that his goal in life is to “live like Jesus.”
“Not be Jesus-I could never-I don’t want that to come across weird,” he said at the time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “He created a pretty awesome template of how to love people and how to be gracious and kind. If you believe it, he died for our sins.”
Justin went on to say that “we have the greatest healer of all and his name is Jesus Christ.”
