Candace Cameron Bure of Full House and Fuller House fame has long been known as one of the only openly Christian stars in Hollywood. That’s why it may come as a surprise to learn that she has a “dirty” sense of humor!
Cameron Bure’s ‘Dirty’ Sense Of Humor
This was revealed by Cameron Bure’s Home Sweet Christmas co-star Cameron Mathison. Home Sweet Christmas premiered on Great American Family last month.
“It was really, really lovely,” Mathison, 55, told People Magazine of filming this movie. “I’ve known Candace, as you guys have, for a long time. I’ve known her personally but never actually got to do a movie with her and [we] talked about it for a long time.”
The actual experience of working with Cameron Bure, however, left Mathison surprised.
“She’s so funny and a little bit dirty,” he revealed of Cameron Bure, 48. “You’d never guess that. She did not ever miss a beat to give me a hard time on something super, super funny.”
Marc Blucas starred with Cameron Bure in 2022’s A Christmas… Present. When asked if he’d had a similar experience working with her, Blucas replied, “I was going to stay away from the ‘dirty’ part!”
“She’d be right next to me, like, cracking jokes,” Mathison continued. “I was like, ‘Candace!’‘”
Home Sweet Christmas
Cameron Bure took to Instagram back in August to reveal that production had began on Home Sweet Christmas.
“Home Sweet Christmas, coming to a @greatamericanfamily channel this Christmas season,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself with Mathison. “We’ve been waiting 15 years to do a Christmas movie together and it’s finally happening!!! We can’t wait for you to enjoy this movie alongside your family.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Home Sweet Christmas centers on Sophie Marlow (Cameron Bure), a mergers and acquisitions attorney who returns to her hometown in the state of Washington after her late uncle leaves her 60 percent of his maple forest property. She reconnects with long-lost childhood friend Sam (Mathison), who has been left with the remaining 40 percent of the property.”
Paula Elle directed the movie, and the script was written by Kevin Commins and Robin Dunne. Cameron Bure executive produced the movie along with Ford Englerth, Jeffery Brooks, Holly A. Hines, Eric Jarboe, Gerald Webb, Trevor McWhinney, Paula Elle and Martin Wood.

Cameron Bure Focused On Telling ‘Stories Of Faith’
Last month, Cameron Bure opened up about telling “stories of faith” on Great American Family.
“I love that we are bringing stories of faith,” Cameron Bure, 48, told US Weekly. “We have ones that aren’t about faith and more in the traditional rom-com space, but our viewers really want messages that are more meaningful.”
Cameron Bure went on to say that fans “love” the religious aspects of the network’s programming.
“We know the reason we celebrate Christmas is because of the birth of Christ,” she explained. “I’ve made tons of [movies] that don’t ever mention the real meaning of Christmas. So just the fact that we mention God or there’s a scripture or there’s a biblical message that might be a proverb, someone might hear it and go, ‘Oh, that’s really good advice.’ They might not realize it comes from the Bible, but we love putting that in the movies.”
Cameron Bure may have a “dirty” sense of humor, but she also uses her platform to spread the word of God. If only we had more celebrities in Hollywood like her!
