The Hollywood star Candace Cameron Bure of Full House and Fuller House fame is speaking out to reveal why she fled Los Angeles, California.

Cameron Bure Flees Los Angeles

“I still love SoCal, but L.A. is certainly not the same since growing up there and especially since 2020,” Cameron Bure, 49, said Thursday in a Q&A that she posted to Instagram,

Cameron Bure was born in the Los Angeles-area suburb of Panorama City. In her Q&A, Cameron Bure explained that she prefers small town life compared to the craziness of the big city.

“I also love living in a smaller town where people really do know your name,” Cameron Bure continued. She added that in her small town, people don’t just know her name because she’s “on TV.”

Cameron Bure also stated that the “beauty” of her small town was a factor in luring her away from Southern California.

Cameron Bure has been married to the former NHL star Valeri Bure, 51, since 1996. They are parents to three children: a daughter Natasha, 27, and sons Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23.

Cameron Bure ‘Didn’t Feel Safe’ In Los Angeles

Last year, Cameron Bure revealed that safety was a big reason that she decided to flee Los Angeles with her family for good.

“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” Cameron Bure admitted to Fox News. “And that was the biggest reason that we moved. Not everyone in Hollywood lives behind guard gates, and we weren’t behind gates.”

Cameron Bure then said that her family had “quite a few problems over the years” with fans over the years. Indeed, these fans would do things like take photos, hide on their property and come up to their door.

“It’s amazing what people feel they can do,” she lamented. “And wanting to be a part of your life in some way. Some of it is innocent, some of it wasn’t. But it’s quite unnerving when you’re just trying to be a person and live life, and you don’t know what’s around the corner.”

Cameron Bure Moved ‘For Security Reasons’

Later last year, Cameron Bure took to her Instagram Story to say, “Many of you have asked, ‘Did you move?’ Yes.'”

“‘Why?’ Mostly for security reasons,” she continued. “Also, family dynamics have changed. The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Mama will go where they go! I travel a lot. The seasons of life.”

Cameron Bure has never revealed the specific town she now resides in. She’s only confirmed that she still lives in California.

‘There have been all kinds of stories as to where we moved, and none of them are right,” Cameron Bure said in 2024. “None of them. We didn’t move to Nashville. We didn’t move to Texas. We’re actually still in California. We just moved up north. We’re no longer in Los Angeles.”

Cameron Bure is one of many celebrities who has fled Los Angeles in search of a better life. Others include Mark Wahlberg, Scott Baio, and Sylvester Stallone. If the people of Los Angeles want stars to stick around, perhaps they should take a look at some of the radically liberal policies that many would argue has destroyed their city.

We hope that Cameron Bure continues to enjoy small town life far away from the crazy world of Hollywood for many years to come. God bless you, Candace Cameron Bure!
