Back in April, we reported that the country music star Billy Ray Cyrus is dating the British Austin Powers star Elizabeth Hurley. Now, six months later, it seems that their romance is still going stronger than ever.
Hurley Puts One Ban On Cyrus
In a new interview, Hurley could not help but gush over her “fabulous” boyfriend Cyrus. She also revealed the one thing that she has banned Cyrus from doing around her.
“Billy Ray is fabulous. We’re very happy, very happy,” Hurley told The Sunday Times.
In fact, according to Hurley, things are going so well for them as a couple that her only issue with him involves grocery shopping! Indeed, the one thing that Hurley has banned Cyrus from doing with her is grocery shopping. Instead, they’ve developed their own system of how to handle getting things from the store.
“He stays in the car… Because he would be annoying,” Hurley said with a laugh.
If that’s your biggest problem as a couple, I’d say things are going pretty well!
Cyrus ‘Loves England’
Though Cyrus lives in Tennessee, he spent the summer with Hurley in her hometown of Herefordshire, England. While this would be a difficult adjustment for some, Cyrus took to the United Kingdom well.
“He loves it. Obviously, he loves England,” Hurley explained. “The weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee.”
“He lives 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It’s so beautiful,” she continued. “Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey.”
One thing that Hurley and Cyrus have in common is their respective hair struggles.
“I cut his hair the other day. We do have a lot of hair between us. We’re in constant danger of choking on hairballs. He has got very fuzzy hair. Before his is done it’s out here,” she recounted as she showed just how long Cyrus’ hair is these days.
“So we’ve actually got contrast hair, which we aim to make look the same in the end,” Hurley added.

Hurley And Cyrus Blend Their Families
Hurley and Cyrus have also already started going about blending their respective families. She’s the mother of one son Damian, from a previous relationship. Meanwhile, Cyrus and his ex-wife Tish, who he was married to from 1993 until 2022, are parents to Trace, Brandi, Miley, Noah and Braison Cyrus. On top of that, Cyrus is father to a son Christopher from a previous relationship.
“Damian and Miley [Cyrus] have met,” Hurley revealed. “Billy’s kids are great, and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian. Everyone loves everyone — it’s lovely.”
Hurley and Cyrus shocked everyone when they revealed their relationship to the world on Easter Sunday in April of 2025. They’d previously met when they worked together alongside the former Cheers star Kelsey Grammer on the 2022 romantic comedy Christmas in Paradise.
While they connected as friends on set, they lost touch once filming ended. It wasn’t until this year that things turned romantic for them.
“It’s just been beautiful,” Cyrus previously said of their relationship. He added that there are “no expectations of where we go from here other than her and her son. I do love him a lot, and it’s great that God brought them into my life when he did. It’s just a good thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
Cyrus and Hurley may be two celebrities who nobody was expecting to fall for one another, but we’re glad to see that things are going so well for them both. Here’s hoping that they continue to be happy together for a long time to come!
