Actress Sophie Turner offered praise to pop star Taylor Swift for helping her through a very difficult time.
Swift reportedly provided significant support to Turner during her divorce from Joe Jonas by offering her and her two daughters a place to stay.
“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year. I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space,” the Game of Thrones actress says.
“She really has a heart of gold.”
The New York Post indicates that Swift loaned Turner her Tribeca pad in New York City at the time of the split.

Swift Helped Turner During Her Divorce From Jonas
Swift briefly dated Jonas, a former member of the pop rock band the Jonas Brothers, in the past.
Aside from providing Turner a place to stay, Swift joined her at a Kansas City Chiefs-New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in October.
The two have been friends for some time.
“She’s a really sweet girl. We’ve met a couple of times before,” Turner said in 2019. “We’re friends. She definitely wasn’t fangirling over me. No, no, no. I fangirl over her.”

Turner Struggled To Fight During The Divorce
Turner, aside from the praise for her friend Swift, opened up about her divorce from Jonas. She conveyed just how difficult some days were.
“There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t,'” she told British Vogue, adding that she “was just never strong enough to stand up for myself.”
The lawyer would eventually tell Turner to “do it for your kids.”
“I’m doing it,” Turner declares. “I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them.”

Following a temporary child custody agreement in October, Turner requested a judge “reactivate” the divorce case in March due to unsuccessful attempts to resolve child custody and property matters.
