The Barbie star Ryan Gosling and his actress significant other Eva Mendes have become the latest celebrities to flee the liberal city of Los Angeles, doing so because they did not want to raise their daughters there.

Gosling Flees Los Angeles

“For them, the most important job is their girls. Everything else comes second,” a source close to the couple said, according to Fox News. “And their girls are thriving. They left L.A. to live a bit further north, away from Hollywood. They didn’t want the girls to grow up around other celebrity kids.”

“Eva and Ryan love their life,” he continued. “It’s admirable how they’ve been able to create balance and boundaries. They care so much about their marriage and just want their girls to live a happy life.”

Gosling, 43, and Mendes, 50, have been in a relationship since 2011, and it is unclear if they are married, as they are notoriously private about their personal lives. Gosling was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor on Sunday night for his work in Barbie, losing out to Robert Downey Jr., who won for his work in Oppenheimer. Gosling attended the ceremony with his sister instead of Mendes, who has nevertheless been a big supporter of his throughout this award season.

“So proud of my man,” Mendes wrote on Instagram back in January. “So much hate when he took on this role. So many people trying to shame him for doing it. Despite all the #Notmyken ridicule and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, now iconic character and took it all the way to Oscars.”

“So beyond proud to be this Ken’s Barbie,” she added.

That same month, Gosling gushed over Mendes while accepting the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival as he talked about the impact that making movies has had on his life.

“I got to meet the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes,” Gosling said. “I have two dream children. I dreamed of one day making movies and now movies have made my life a dream.”

“So the way I see it, there’s no way I’ve contributed half as much to cinema as cinema has contributed to me,” he continued. “But the idea that I might’ve given something back to the thing that has given so much to me is too great an honor for me to express.”

Other Celebrities Flee California

Celebrities have been fleeing both Los Angeles and California in general in droves as of late in the wake of the entire state being taken over by radical liberals who love enacting ridiculous policies. Last year, the former “Happy Days” star Scott Baio announced that he would be joining the mass exodus from California by moving to Florida.

“I see people… When I drive with my kid, I gotta turn her head away. She’s 14 years old. I see people defecating on the sidewalk,” Baio lamented during a call with the Clay & Buck show. “You see people in parks shooting up. There’s people passed out everywhere. I mean it. It’s not the isolated. It’s all over the place. And I’m about ready to get out of the state. So, you know, just so you guys know, that it’s no joke out here.”

“I think, probably since Governor Newsom, it’s really gotten bad, and maybe a little before that. So, maybe four or five years ago,” he added. “It’s just… It’s out of control, guys. Listen, I’ve been here for 45, almost 50 years. I’ve seen this place go from an absolute paradise into a cesspool…”

Dean Cain ‘Had To Leave California’

Other celebrities who have fled California recently include the devoutly Catholic movie star Mark Wahlberg and the conservative former “Superman” star Dean Cain, each of whom have moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Wahlberg told Fox News that he made the move to give his four “kids a better life,” while Cain directly said that he left California because the state “has gone crazy” under Democrat leadership.

“I had to leave California,” Cain said back in December. “California has gone crazy in a sense. There’s been so much. Look at the taxation. Look at the regulations. Look at the silly laws that have been passed.”

“There were things that I didn’t agree with, and I’ve been voting here and living here and working here my entire life,” he continued. “I finally got to a place where I was like, I don’t agree with this.”

It’s easy to see why so many celebrities are deciding to raise their families far away from the crazy world of Los Angeles. Perhaps Gosling will consider leaving the liberal state of California altogether to give his daughters a better life elsewhere!
