Yesterday, we reported that Martha Stewart had made history by becoming the oldest person to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition at 81 years of age. Joy Behar, 80, responded to this on “The View” by bizarrely revealing that she once asked Stewart how she would pee in a swimsuit.

Behar’s Bizarre Stewart Story

“She has good genes, obviously, and she worked hard. What did she say? She’s been doing pilates and she’s been avoiding pasta and bread for now,” Behar said of Stewart. “It’s only temporary, until she looks good on the magazine.”

“One time I met her and I said to her, ‘Martha, what do you wear as a brassiere? Because my generation says, ‘brassiere,’ by the way,” Behar continued. “Without missing a beat, she said, ‘I wear a bathing suit under my clothing.’ It’s like one piece. I said, ‘Well, how do you pee? She said, ‘There’s no snaps on a bathing suit.”

A clearly shocked Whoopi Goldberg responded by saying, ‘I have snaps on my bathing suit — you don’t have snaps on your bathing suit?”

“She said she pulls it to the side,” Behar concluded. “She’s innovative!”

Stewart’s Photo Shoot

This comes after Stewart revealed how she prepared for this shoot.

“I did Pilates three, maybe four times a week and did not have a drink — no alcohol whatsoever for two months,” Stewart told People Magazine.

“I also got a spray tan a couple days before the shoot, which isn’t something I usually do,” she continued “It’s nice when you’re down in that azure water. I got a light tan, and it was very pretty, very natural. I’m very pleased with the pictures, I really am.”

Stewart went on to say that she never thought she would “accomplish” getting on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

“It’s important to stand up to challenges, whether they’re beauty challenges or intellectual challenges, even philanthropic challenges,” she said. “To be able to stand up and do it — to me — is so fun!”

Behar Has ‘No Plans To Retire’

One person who won’t be gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated anytime soon is Behar, who celebrated her 80th birthday in October of last year. Despite now being in her 80s, Behar has “no plans” to retire from “The View.”

“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

We can’t help but feel sorry for Stewart that she was once accosted by Behar and asked such a ridiculously private question. In the end, all that story showed was just how little class Behar has in her daily life!
