The Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon has broken her silence to respond to rumors that she is dating the former NFL player Tom Brady weeks after she announced her divorce from Jim Toth, who she was married to for nearly 12 years.

Witherspoon Responds To Rumors

Though rumors have swirled that Witherspoon is dating Brady, who divorced his wife Gisele Bündchen in October of last year after thirteen years of marriage, the Oscar-winning actress is saying that this is not the case.

“A representative for Witherspoon denied any rumor of dating as the rumors are completely false,” read a statement obtained by Fox News

This comes after Witherspoon and Toth announced their divorce last month.

“We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” they said at the time. “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

“Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter,” they continued. “These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”

‘An Amicable Decision’

Witherspoon and Toth are parents to a 10-year-old son named Tennessee, and they would have celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on March 26. Witherspoon is also mother to two older children with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

A source claimed to People Magazine that Witherspoon and Toth “really are the best of friends.”

“This is such an amicable decision,” the insider added. “They are so committed to co-parenting together. They are invested in their whole family and making this as smooth as possible for everyone.”

Another source claimed that Witherspoon is “headstrong and focused,” while Toth is the more “laid-back” one in their relationship.”

“They’ve been spending less and less time together while she was working,” this insider added.

Brady Speaks Out On Divorce

Days after his divorce from Bündchen was announced, Brady claimed that their situation was “amicable” as well.

“Obviously, the good news is it’s a very amicable situation, and I’m really focused on two things: taking care of my family, and certainly my children, and secondly doing the best job I can to win football games,” Brady said in November, according to CBS News. “That’s what professionals do.”

“You focus at work when it’s time to work, and then when you come home, you focus on the priorities that are at home,” he added. “All you can do is the best you can do. That’s what I’ll just continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m being a dad.”

Brady went on to say that while navigating a divorce in the public eye is not easy, it’s also part of “what being a professional is.”

“I’ve dealt with a lot of challenging situations on and off the field over 23 years, and a lot of it does play out in front of a lot of people,” he said. “So I think the interesting thing for a football player and an athlete in general is you’re out there, I always say we’re not actors, even though we’re in TV. That is our real self out there.”

Brady and Bündchen are the parents of two young children, and they appear to be co-parenting well together. Here’s hoping that Witherspoon and Toth are able to do the same thing for their son moving forward!
