The Hollywood star Chris Pratt spoke out in a new interview on Tuesday to gush over his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, admitting that he was a “broken” man before he met her in church.

Pratt Was ‘Broken’ Before Meeting His Wife

While promoting his new film The Super Mario Bros. Movie on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Pratt told host Drew Barrymore that “there was a moment in my life where I was really struggling and felt really broken” before he met Schwarzenegger.

Pratt, 43, revealed that he met Schwarzenegger, 33, “five, maybe six years ago. God has a fast-forward button, you know, when it’s right, boom.”

“You get hit, you fall in love, you get married, now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family,” he said. “It feels really great.”

Daily Mail reported that Pratt also shares a 10 year-old son named Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris, an actress who he was married to from 2009 until they divorced in 2018.

“There was a moment in my life where I was really struggling and felt really broken. For me, my own journey of finding a higher power and leaning on that and feeling like, ‘Please save me,’ and feeling saved,” Pratt told Barrymore.

“And shortly later, meeting the woman of my dreams,” he continued. “It’s all about timing. There’s a perfect plan out there for you. You have to have faith.”

‘We Met At A Church’

When asked if he met Schwarzenegger in a place of faith, Pratt replied, “Yeah, we met at a church. I was in the front row of church.”

“And you kind of don’t want to be like, ‘Woah, who’s that?’ at church,” he recalled. “But I was sneaking some glances and wondering, ‘Who is that? Anyway, what am I doing? Come on, I’m broken, help me. But who’s that?'”

“So we hit it off,” Pratt added. “We didn’t start dating right away, but we met there and, later on, ended up going out.”

Pratt confirmed to Barrymore that the connection between himself and Schwarzenegger became apparent very quickly.

“It was just there. It was like, ‘OK.’ It all made sense,” he explained. “You know when you’re doing a puzzle, and there’s a piece, and you’re like, ‘I’m certain that’s the piece’ and then you jam it, and it looks like it should be the piece [but then] you’re like like, ‘Oh it’s that one.'”

“It just fits together,” he stated. “You’re like, ‘Oh, it fits because it was the piece that was made to fit there.’ It felt like that.”

Schwarzenegger Discusses Her Faith

Since meeting in church, Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s strong Christian faith has remained a cornerstone of their life together. Back in 2020, Schwarzenegger told Fox News that faith is a “huge” part of their marriage.

“[Faith] is a huge part of our relationship and also just a huge part of our lives,” she said at the time.

“I grew up with faith being a huge part of my family’s life as well,” she continued, adding that faith “is a huge part of the forgiveness process and healing process in life in general so if you are able to have [faith] to rely on and lean on it’s a great gift.”

It’s rare to find openly Christian stars in Hollywood these days, so Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s faith-based marriage is incredibly refreshing to witness. God truly did bring them together, and we wish them many years of happiness to come!
