Whoopi Goldberg Whines On ‘The View’ – ‘We Get Blamed For Dropping Gas’

Last week, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg was accused of farting on live TV on her ABC talk show “The View.” On Tuesday morning’s show, Goldberg spoke out to complain about being “blamed for dropping gas.”

Goldberg Clarifies Sound

“What was that?” Goldberg, 67, said after a strange noise was heard on the show, according to Entertainment Weekly. 

“It’s my glass, every time I turn it,” her co-host Sara Haines said as she attempted to replicate the noise.

“Let’s put that rumor to rest,” co-host Joy Behar chimed in to add. “That sound that you hear, that’s a cup, okay?”

“Yes, because, we get blamed for dropping gas, when in fact it’s a cup,” Goldberg later clarified. 

This comes one week after Goldberg was accused of farting on live TV when she was thrown off her talking points by something that appeared to be physical in nature.

“That was gas,” she confessed afterwards.

Social Media Erupts

Social media immediately exploded with users losing their minds over what they had just witnessed. 

“Wait did Whoopi just fart on national tv #TheView,” one person tweeted, with another adding, “Ughhh!!! Spare me. Wait! Did Whoopi just pass gas?”

“That was gas!” a third user wrote in agreement with Goldberg.

Others, however, claimed that the “gas” with a burp rather than a fart.

“She burped. They are soooo loud and talking over each other,” someone commented.

This was not the first time that Goldberg was accused of farting on “The View.” Just a few weeks ago, the co-hosts were visibly stunned when a loud fart-like noise interrupted their show, according to The Sun. After the noise was heard, co-host Sara Haines got up from her chair and exclaimed “Whoopi!” as co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin laughed awkwardly. 

“Whoopi spilled water and now it’s on my pants,” Haines blurted out, with Griffin adding, “Oh. We had a little spillage on the other side of the table.”

Social media users were unsure if the noise was someone passing gas, or just Haines moving her chair.

Goldberg’s Holocaust Scandal

This comes at a difficult time for Goldberg, as calls are continuing to come in for her to be fired for repeatedly saying that the Holocaust was not about race. At the time of this writing, a Change.org petition has garnered nearly 47,000 signatures from people demanding that ABC cut ties with Goldberg. 

“Whoopi has made numerous remarks about race that have ruffled feathers,” the petition states. “But her most recent comment attacking victims of the holocaust and the entire Jewish community are disgusting. Apologies are not enough when it comes to things like this, This can and will not be forgotten.”

“We as Americans demand that she be fired from the daytime tv show ‘The View’ for her repulsive verbiage and actions,” it continues. 

Whether she’s farting, passing gas, or mouthing off about the Holocaust, it’s clear that Goldberg has become a major liability at ABC. It remains to be seen how much longer executives with the network will tolerate her increasingly gross behavior moving forward.
