The world is still reeling from the shooting that sadly took place at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, resulting in the deaths of three 9 year-old children and three adults. Unsurprisingly, the liberal media has wasted no time in politicizing this shooting and using it to fuel their gun-grabbing agenda.

On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” things got heated when moderator Whoopi Goldberg cut off her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin during a discussion about gun reform.

Farah Griffin Sounds Off

Farah Griffin, who is the only Republican on “The View” at the moment, told her cohosts that she refuses to “believe that our leaders are so inept that they cannot find a way to balance constitutional rights with keeping kids safe,” adding that she “fundamentally believes in legal, responsible gun ownership.”

Not stopping there, Farah Griffin stated that 92% of Americans support background checks before adding that she was “heartened” by words from Sen. Chris Murphy, a Connecticut Democrat whom she agrees with on “virtually nothing.”

“He said, ‘OK, if we can’t move an assault weapons ban, I would be willing to say why don’t we put in place trainings, background checks, mental health screenings to be able to have one,’” Farah Griffin continued.

This didn’t sit well with Goldberg, who cut her off by saying, “Why are we compromising?”

Things Get Heated

“I don’t mean to be rude to you, to cut you off. I am tired of trying to find a way to justify you being able to keep 75 guns in your house,” Goldberg said, arguing that “we need to know” when people own multiple guns because they are being “painted with the same swab as the people who are killing people left and right with legal guns.”

Farah Griffin tried to stand her ground by saying, “We will be talking about this issue forever if we start from a place of, ‘We have to get all guns off the street.'”

Unfortunately for Farah Griffin, however, this only seemed to fire up Goldberg more.

“No, it’s not get all guns off the street,” Goldberg exclaimed. “I don’t have a tank. I can’t go buy a tank.”

“I don’t say, ‘Give up all your guns.’ I don’t know why you have to have 5,011 of them, but maybe you do,” she continued. “But I want to know that you’ve got them. Because I want to be sure that I know what’s going on in my periphery.”

Goldberg concluded the segment by saying, “These are our kids. They might not be your kids, but they’re my kids. They’re your kids. They’re somebody’s kids. What the hell?”

Joy Behar Sounds Off

In this same segment, co-host Joy Behar gave her thoughts on the Nashville shooting.

“Nothing. They’ll do nothing. They do nothing. It’s all about the money,” Behar said of conservative lawmakers, according to Yahoo News

“You know, Marsha Blackburn is a senator from Tennessee. She, of course, sent out her thoughts and prayers,” Behar continued. “She is 13th on a list of senators who received the most money from the NRA. She received over $1.3 million in donations, while representing a state with 1,273 gun deaths a year. OK, follow the money.”

“All these people who are selling guns, they make a lot of money off of children’s deaths apparently, in this country,” she added. “They’re worrying about you know, other people, books, bologna items. This, they will not do anything about.”

It’s always both sad and despicable to see how quickly the liberal media politicizes shootings to use for their own agenda. We applaud Farah Griffin for at least trying to take a stand against Goldberg in this heated debate.
