Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley were seemingly headed to WrestleMania 39, but their match got bumped to Elimination Chamber. WNZ has all the details on why the WWE abandoned the program for ‘Mania.

More On Brock Lesnar Vs. Bobby Lashley

Lesnar is facing Omos on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but this wasn’t his first or even second pick as a WrestleMania opponent. In fact, past reports reveal that GUNTHER, Bray Wyatt, Bobby Lashley, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin were all in the running at some point.

It was perplexing to some fans as to why Lesnar and Lashley squared off at Elimination Chamber in February. Plus, right before their bout, Bray Wyatt announced he was facing the winner at WM 39.

Lesnar was disqualified, and Wyatt versus Lashley was set into motion for ‘Mania. However, many fans were scratching their heads as to why the Lesnar vs. Lashley program was swept under the rug before WrestleMania.

Why Brock Lesnar Vs. Bobby Lashley Was Abandoned

According to Sports Illustrated Justin Barrasso, Lesnar vs. Lashley took place at the Chamber so Brock would have time to prep for his WM match against Steve Austin. With that said, Austin never confirmed a ‘Mania bout with Brock, when all was said and done.

This left Lesnar without a WM storyline, so Omos was placed as his opponent. Austin was also pitched for a match against Roman Reigns, but that fell through too.

Added reports suggest that Steve Austin may face L.A. Knight at the WWE’s flagship show. Only time will tell.

Over to other news, once known as the Bella Twins, Nikki, and Brie have officially left the WWE this week on March 15th. Will they head to AEW?

Nikki hopped on Instagram live recently. One fan asked if the twins were headed to AEW.

Will The Garcia Twins Head To AEW?

Nikki responded that they would not be. She adds there are no hard feelings between them and the WWE.

Nikki notes it “may seem” that there is bad blood between them and the WWE, especially with everything that’s happened in the past and past six months. But there isn’t.

She states that she and her twin went to AEW Revolution and visited backstage. It was more for a night of fun with the kids than business.

Nikki reveals she wanted Matteo (her son) to see his “Uncle Bryan” (Danielson) compete in the ring. She adds that Matteo loves his uncle so much.

Garcia also explains that she and Brie were also visiting Paige and Renee. From the photos, it looked like it was a nice time for old friends to catch up.

The Garcia Twins signed with the WWE in 2007 and had quite the careers. Between the both of them, they held the Divas Championship three times.

Nikki held the championship twice (2012 and 2014), while Brie held it once (2011). In fact, during her Divas title run, Nikki held on to the championship for 301 days, making it the longest individual reign.

While it would be interesting to see Nikki and Brie in action in another promotion, the ladies do seem busy. Motherhood, their podcast, and other business projects seem to keep their plates very full.

What’s next for the Garcia Twins? Only time will tell.
