The ABC talk show “The View” went off the rails once again on Thursday morning when Joy Behar came unglued as she vehemently denied making an offensive joke about her co-host Sara Haines’ dead dog.

Behar Accused Of Making Offensive Joke

Decider reported that it all started during a segment about the comedian Ali Wong, who often tells jokes about what life is like for her as a mother. Behar and her co-hosts gave their thoughts on a clip in which Wong claimed that single people have more freedom because they do not have to plan their lives around their children.

Haines, who is a mother of three children, admitted to being jealous of people who do not need to plan around their kids constantly.

“My chihuahuas had better bladders than my kids,” Haines said, with Behar asking in response, “You actually have chihuahuas and three children?!”

“No, I had Chihuahuas,” Haines replied. “They passed — you were here for both of their passings!”

Behar, 80, made it clear that she had no memory of the dogs, saying, “I always block bad things like that.”

That’s when Haines revealed the alleged joke that Behar made about her dead animals.

“I had a balloon at my birthday and you go, ‘Oh, is that the dead one?’” Haines said.

Behar lost it at this, loudly exclaiming, “I did not say that!”

When Haines tried to give more details about her story, Behar shut her down by saying, “Oh, be quiet!”

Behar Has ‘No Plans’ To Retire

Despite celebrating her 80th birthday in October of last year, Behar has defiantly said that she has “no plans” to retire.

“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she was brought back two years later and has remained on the show ever since. During a discussion about Tom Brady retiring from the NFL last month, Behar explained why exactly she feels that she’ll never retire.

“Here I am, really, older, and I have no interest, there’s no such thing as retiring for me because I’m a creative person,” she said. “So I’ll do something else. I’m writing plays. When I leave this show, I do other things.”

Behar Uses Her Age To Defend Biden

A few weeks ago, Behar used her age to defend President Joe Biden from accusations that he does not have the cognitive abilities necessary to run for president again.

“Joe Biden and I are the same age,” Behar said. “Would you say I could not do my job for the next four years? Of course I can.”

“And the haters can go stick their heads in something, because I’m not moving out of this seat,” she added.

While Behar has said quite a lot of crazy stuff over the years, making fun of dead dogs is a new low for her. We can’t help but feel sorry for Haines that she has to work with someone like Behar every day!
