It’s time for another RAW In A Nutshell, and the red brand roster is having a grand time in Grand Rapids.

Or, at least, I hope they are having a grand time in  Grand Rapids.

After all, Grand Rapids is the host city for RAW this week. If they aren’t having a grand time there…I don’t know where they could.

But, in all seriousness, we do have a pretty stacked show, regardless of where we are.

Brock Lesnar will be on RAW, where he is expected to answer the challenge thrown down by Omos.

We have a women’s tag title match, with Damage CTRL defending against Becky Lynch and Lita.

Cody Rhodes will continue his journey to the main event and Roman Reigns.

It seems likely that one of Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn will be there to torment the Bloodline, too.

Plenty going on, so lets get into…

Let’s crack this one open and find out!

Best Match of the night:

Option 1, non-match edition:

I mean, I think that was my favorite Wyatt vignette yet.

Match wise? OK, it was not a superb match, nor was it particularly clean…but it was fun.

That being the main event, with Lita and Becky Lynch taking on Damage CTRL.

With a bit of an assist from Trish Stratus, we have new champions.

Worst match of the night:

I didn’t hate it, but the one without much purpose tonight relative to a WrestleMania build (I think?) was Piper and Candace.

Unless this builds toward a Nikki/Candace versus Piper/??? tag on one of the two nights? But that seems a bit unlikely.

Star of the Night

Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch.

Two are your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The other popped back on RAW just a bit after she was in the building and left.

Spot of the Night:

Maybe it was just me, but that was a crazy looking Cody Cutter on Chad Gable. (It wasn’t just me).

He followed it up with an equally epic-looking CrossRhodes.

Some of that credit has to go to Gable, of course.

Jobber of the Night:

Tonight this goes to Chad Gable, but not in a bad way.

This sums it up well, I think.

Look at how he sold both the Cody Cutter and the CrossRhodes.

Yes, a lot is Cody…but plenty is on Gable, and Gable sold them both in epic fashion.

If an eventual split from Otis is coming, I would not hate seeing Chad get a crack at a singles title and, even if briefly.

Upset of the Night:

With a slight assist from Nikki, I’d give this one to Candace LeRae over Piper Niven.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Not a shock, but Lesnar accepted Omos’ challenge (which was the shock).

But when Lesnar and MVP were to drink to seal the deal, MVP couldn’t handle Brock’s flask of “white lightning”.

He spit it back in Lesnar’s face, which eventually earned him the honor of an F-5.

And then we had Seth calling Logan Paul to “invite” him to RAW next week. Nice segment.

Botch of the night:

Why do we need a host…much less The Miz…for WrestleMania.

LOL Moment of the night:

Bianca and Montez did the Titanic scene for their WrestleMania Goes Hollywood sequence.

Noteworthy Moment:

Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown Friday.

Cody pointed out he faces Reigns in 33 days. He’s yet to be in the ring with Reigns.

Friday, that will change, as Cody is heading to SmackDown too.

We’ve got Dom pushing for Rey to respond…eventually he will, right?

Balor challenged Edge to a match at ‘Mania. Will we get this in Hell in a Cell?

Speaking of Balor…are we maybe starting down a Judgement Day versus The Way feud?

I mean, we can dream, right? Granted, Theory is out of the group, and Indi isn’t up yet…but…who knows.

Overall lowlights:

My dislike of calling Carmella from Staten Island notwithstanding (she’s not, and she’s Snooki over the top cliche)…I don’t like her sniffing around the RAW Women’s Championship match.

I want it to be Bianca and Asuka, with a decisive winner. No need for Carmella to be in, either to screw one of the other two, or to be there as the one taking the pin.

Overall highlights:

Lots to like once again.

Was into the Miz/Rollins/Logan Paul segment.

Judgement Day is so deeply heel-ish, seeing any and all of them lose will be satisfying.

Lesnar and MVP was good stuff.

So was Cody.

And that Bray vignette…wonderful and fun and evil all at once.

Main event may not have been crisp, but it was enjoyable.

After the final bell:

Well, we’ve got another couple matches lined up for WrestleMania, with some others teased or at least tee’d up.

Another week closer, just 33 days to go, and the card is shaping up.

No idea what matches happen when, but Lesnar-Omos is locked in. Balor and Edge seems likely.

Rey and Dom are inevitable…right?

I have a feeling we either have a women’s tag title re-match, or a six woman tag so that Bayley and Trish have something to do, too.

Lots going on, and it was a fun show indeed.
