The radically liberal Joy Behar shocked everyone on “The View” on Tuesday morning when she sided with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after the conservative lawmaker claimed that she was attacked at a restaurant.

Greene Attacked

Greene took to social media on Monday night to say, “I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane women and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views.”

“They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control,” Greene added. “I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.”

‘I’m On Marjorie’s Side’

Though Behar typically enjoys bashing Greene like it’s her job, she could not help but side with the Republican on this one.

“I have to say I’m on Marjorie’s side on this one. I don’t believe that anybody should be going up to any of us in public and and harassing us and that goes for you too, Marjorie,” said Behar, 80, according to Daily Mail, adding that she’s had people accost her and her husband in public as well.

Unsurprisingly, however, Behar still found ways to take shots at Greene with her defense.

“She does this and now it’s been done to her,” she stated. “I have to say I think it’s deplorable that anybody would do anything like that, including her and the person who did that to her.”

Co-Hosts Respond

Co-host Sara Haines was quick to agree with Behar.

“This woman is aggressive, and has her own problems with civility, but to protect civility, I think you have to protect the most despised among us,” Haines said. “So we have to draw the line at doing this sort of thing, so I do tend to agree with what you’re saying.”

The radically liberal co-host Sunny Hostin, however, responded by questioning Greene’s story. (So much for “believing all women!”)

“She’s this professional troller,” Hostin said. “She was disrespectful to the president of the United States during the State of the Union. She heckles people all the time. I need more information.”

Behar continued to have Greene’s back, saying, “Let’s just take her word for it in this case.”

“I can’t do that,” Hostin bitterly responded.

Greene Spokesperson Speaks Out

This comes after a spokesperson for Greene told The Hill how the disturbing altercation went down. The spokesperson said that the woman approached Greene at the restaurant and initially “introduced herself politely” before she began “berating” the congresswoman as her son “started screaming expletives at the top of his lungs and came closer.”

“I had to get in between him and the table because I had no clue what he’d do,” the spokesperson continued.

Liberals love to portray conservatives as the violent and deranged ones, but anyone on the right will know that it’s actually oftentimes the only way around. We rarely agree with Behar on anything, but we’re glad to see that even she could not stand by Greene being attacked in public.
