WWE Status – Kylie Rae

Rae did have a WWE tryout back in December. She also participated in the December 15th episode of Main Event.

She worked under the name “Briana Ray” and faced Dana Brooke. Rae lost the match.

According to Fightful, Kyle has not signed with the WWE as of yet. She’s still a free agent.

While she’s not signed yet, really anything could happen. After all, her bout with Brooke on Main Event got her a “shout-out” from WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

At that time, Rae also stated she was happy to see old friend and fellow Chicago native, Mustafi Ali. Looks like she’d fit in well with the WWE roster if she ends up signing a deal.

Kylie Rae was one of the first women wrestlers to ink an AEW deal in early 2019. While she was positioned to be one of the company’s top babyfaces in the women’s division, she requested her release later that year.

She headed to Impact Wrestling shortly after and enjoyed two years with the company. While she did “retire” from wrestling in 2021, she would return to the squared circle shortly after the fact and has enjoyed working the indies circuit.

Moreover, she recently shared the great news that she’s been sober for over a year. Here’s hoping Rae continues that positive momentum heading into 2023.

In fact, a deal has been inked for “quite” a while now. However, she’s still waiting to hear about creative plans for her.

According to the report, Fightful asked Green to confirm her WWE employment, but she didn’t, for “obvious” reasons. In addition, Green closed her OnlyFans account and Major Pod has a limited production of new merch for her.

What About Matt?

In terms of her hubby, Matt Cardona, as per the report, he’s not under contract with the WWE. With that said, as Chelsea is heading back to the company, a return for Matt is not out of the question, at this point.

The last time WWE fans saw Cardona, he lost to Bobby Lashley in less than two minutes on Monday Night RAW. He was released shortly after the fact.

With that said, he’s made quite the name for himself outside the WWE since his release. Working for promotions like AEW, Impact, and other companies in the indie scene.

Meanwhile, Green was last seen on the WWE in November 2020, after she made her SmackDown debut. She injured her wrist in that match, and was inactive for months, until she was released by the company in April 2021.
