Once known as Rusev in the WWE, Miro debuted on AEW in September 2020. He’s done some great things in the company but hasn’t been seen on television since this past June. So why is Miro off TV now? WNZ has the answer, below.

Why Miro Is Off AEW TV

As per Fightful’s Sean Sapp, the good news is that Miro is not injured. However, the bad news is, AEW creative has nothing for this former TNT Champion.

The report reveals that the AEW superstar is “healthy” and “wants” to compete. Sadly, the creative team hasn’t presented anything for him.

The report also notes that Miro is quite “eager” to return to action. No timeline was given for when he could come back to AEW television.

When Miro Was Last Seen On AEW TV (Off & On)

Miro subbed in for Jon Moxley on the November 3rd, 2021 edition of Dynamite. He faced off against Orange Cassady during AEW’s World Championship Eliminator tourney.

Miro would move on to face Bryan Danielson at the Full Gear event. He ended up losing that match when all was said and done.

The following December, fans learned that Miro was recovering from a hamstring injury. He returned to TV on June 1st of this year, facing off against Johnny Elite, but hasn’t been seen since.

Over to the land of WWE, NXT to be specific, it seems that the company dropped the ball on a major feud that could’ve been epic. More on this story, below.

WWE Nixes Major NXT Feud

In a short time frame, Bron Breakker has risen the NXT ladder to become one of the brand’s top stars. Since debuting in 2021, Bron has become a two-time NXT Champion.

As a second-generation wrestler, the business is in Breakker’s genes. For those fans that aren’t aware, he’s the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner.

Solo Sikoa knows all too well about wrestling being engrained in one’s blood, as another second-generation talent. He made his debut in NXT during Halloween Havoc in October 2021.

Sikoa was called up to the main roster recently. He’s now part of the Bloodline faction with fellow Anoa’I family members Roman Reigns and The Usos, as well as Paul Heyman and Sami Zayn.

During a recent interview on Superstar Crossover, he talked about an NXT feud that was “scrapped”. Was an opportunity missed?

Second-Generation Versus Second-Generation

Solo notes that before he got “called up” there were “a lot” of plans for him in NXT. One included a second-generation versus second-generation program between him and Bron Breakker.

Sikoa also states that everything worked out “fine” in the end. Plus, he was good with never losing the North American Championship during his call-up, rather he had to “give it up”.

While it’s unfortunate that a Sikoa versus Breakker rivalry never came to fruition in NXT, here’s hoping something develops once Bron hits the main roster. These two would have an incredible feud.

Either way, both these second-generation wrestlers have a very bright future ahead. But here’s hoping fans seen them face-off in the ring, sooner rather than later.
