The British media personality Sharon Osbourne was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after suffering a medical emergency while filming a new television show in California.

Osbourne’s Medical Emergency

Daily Mail reported that Osbourne, 70, was shooting a paranormal television show near Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California when she suddenly got sick. She was then rushed to Santa Paula Hospital, with Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirming that she was a patient.

Capt. Brian McGrath with the Ventura County Fire Department said that emergency medical service workers responded to a “medical call” at the hotel at around 6:30 on Friday.

Osbourne’s son Jack has since confirmed to TMZ that his mother has been released from the hospital and is now at her home in Los Angeles. He also said that the show that she was filming is called “Night of Terror,” which is set to air on the Travel Channel.

While Jack did not go into further detail about what the medical episode that his mother suffered from was, he said that she would share specifics about it when she is ready to do so.

“OK here’s what I’ll say – first things first MY MOTHER WASN’T FILMING AN EPISODE OF @GHOSTADVENTURES She was filming a new episode of Night Terror with me hahaha,” he said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “Now that we have made that clear…she has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home.”

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support,” he added. “As to what happened to my mum – I’m gonna leave to her to share about when she is ready.”

Osbourne’s Battle With COVID

Osbourne has always been open about her health struggles, revealing to the world in 2020 that she had been hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19.

“I wanted to share that I’ve tested positive for Covid 19,” she said at the time, according to USA Today. “After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while ‘The Talk’ is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy.”

Osbourne was forced to leave her gig on “The Talk” last year after she dared to defend her friend Piers Morgan from accusations that he is racist due to him criticizing Meghan Markle.

“I wanted to look into the camera and say ‘(expletive) you, (expletive) you, (expletive) you, (expletive) you, and CBS take that and walk off,” Osbourne later said of her ousting. “But I couldn’t do that.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s Health Struggles

Osbourne’s husband Ozzy has also had his own fair share of health struggles, as he has been battling Parkinson’s disease for years.

“Suddenly, your life just stops. Life as you knew it,” she said of his diagnosis, according to People Magazine

“When I look at my husband, my heart breaks for him,” she continued. “I’m sad for myself to see him that way, but what he goes through is worse. And sometimes when I look at him and he doesn’t know I’m looking at him, I’m like crying.”

We can only hope that Osbourne’s latest medical episode isn’t due to anything that is too serious. Please join us in saying a prayer for her during this difficult time!
