Solo Sikoa destroyed Matt Riddle last week on Monday Night RAW. The Original Bro was carried out on a stretcher, and then the WWE announced he’d be out of action for six weeks due to an injury. However, it turns out he was really suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy.

Matt Riddle Suspended – WWE Wellness Policy

WWE tests its superstars regularly under its wellness policy program. If a talent fails said test, they face a suspension.

While a superstar hasn’t failed a WWE wellness policy test in a while, Bodyslam.net reports that Matt Riddle is not injured, after all. It turns out, he’s out of action due to a suspension because he failed the company’s wellness test.

What Happens If Matt Riddle Fails Another Wellness Policy Test?

As per the report, Riddle has been advised that if he fails another WWE Wellness Policy test, he could be fired or sent to rehab. A similar situation to what happened with Jeff Hardy at one point in time.

The report also states that Riddle also failed his wellness test leading up to SummerSlam. It’s important to note that while the company had a “weed tax” previously (a fine of $2,500) if someone tested positive for THC, it’s been a while since the WWE issued these.

With that said, whatever Riddle tested positive for, was far more than “weed”. WNZ will keep you posted on any other developments linked to this story.

A former MMA fighter, Matt Riddle jumped into the land of sports entertainment in 2018 when he signed with the WWE. He started his career out in NXT and would land on the main roster in 2020.

Over the past two years, he’s been quite successful on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. He’s not only a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion but he’s also held the U.S. title.

What’s in store for Matt Riddle next? Sounds like he needs to clean up his act before anything else.

On to some other news, Sting is undeniably one of the GOATs of professional wrestling. Unfortunately, in-ring competition can take its toll on any superstar’s body.

Still, Sting has not been featured with Darby Allin for a while now. While speaking with K&C Masterpiece, the iconic superstar updates fans on a recent surgery.

During the interview, Sting notes that he had knee surgery about six to seven weeks ago. As he states, it was to just “clean out” his old knees.

On The Road To Recovery

The last time fans saw Sting in the ring was at AEW’s Full Gear event. He and Allin defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a tag team match.

When will fans see The Stinger again in action? Only time will tell.

On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we wish Sting a smooth and healthy recovery from his knee surgery. It’ll be great to see him back in AEW when he gets better.
