The country music legend Dolly Parton sent a powerful message to Satan last week during her NBC Christmas special “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” before she performed her classic song “Go To Hell.”

‘Satan Is Real’

CBN News reported that Parton began by warning her fans that “Satan is real.”

“My brothers and my sisters, I am here to tell you that Satan is real,” she said. “He is real and walking around amongst us, trying to destroy everything that’s good and beautiful. He wants to break our hearts and minds, destroy our dreams and plans. He wants to tear us up in little pieces, break us down, and send us straight to hell.”

“Oh my God can do anything,” she added. “My God can heal the sick, mend broken hearts, and take our souls to heaven. So Satan, listen up, in God’s name I rebuke you. I stand up in his name, look you in the eye, and laugh in your ugly face.”

Not stopping there, Parton proceeded to double down.

“The same God who raised His Son Christ Jesus from the dead works in the hearts and minds of believers to raise them to the blessed hope of eternal life,” she said. “Satan is a conquered foe and his days are numbered. Indeed, how could he hope to challenge such an awesome God? The strife is o’er, the battle done; the victory of life is won.”

Parton’s Christian Faith

Parton previously opened up about her strong Christian faith in her 2020 memoir “Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics,” explaining that she considers herself to be more spiritual than religious.

“I’m not that religious, but I’m very, very spiritual,” she wrote. “I grew up in very religious surroundings. I grew up with a Bible background, and I’m glad I did. I know my Bible stories.”

“A lot of people think that because I look so artificial, I never spend time outside,” Parton added. “I love to be out in nature  I sit under trees to write songs. I listen to God’s voice through the wind.”

In a 2020 interview, Parton talked about how importance she feels that personal prayer is.

“Every single day, before I do anything, I wake up and I thank God for the night and ask him to bless the day…and bring all the right stuff in,” she said. “And just to guide me, lead me. And I always pray that he’ll let me uplift mankind and glorify him.”

Parton Won’t Stay Quiet About Her Faith

In the end, faith is something that Parton considers to be crucial in life.

“A belief in God is essential,” she once said. “You have to believe in something bigger than yourself. We grew up believing that through God all things are possible.”

Parton went on to say that she has no intention of being quiet about her faith.

“People say, ‘Well, I am surprised that you talk about your faith,’ and I say, ‘Why not? That’s who I am. That’s what keeps me going,’” she explained.

Satan is sadly very real indeed, and we applaud Parton for stepping up to warn the world about him. God bless you, Dolly Parton!
