Triple H has shaken things up since he took over the role of WWE Chief Content Officer. He’s brought back former stars, and from the looks of it, he’s giving a talent their old gimmick back.

WWE Star Bringing Old Gimmick Back

Akira Tozawa joined the WWE in March 2016 as a participant in the Cruiserweight Classic. He would end up joining the division and 205 LIVE in 2017.

He had an interesting gimmick during his time at 205 LIVE and then NXT (while HHH was still in charge). When he hit the main roster, Tozawa became a parody of what his former NXT character was all about.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and 24/7 Champion worked Main Event tapings this week, before Monday Night RAW. Looks like the ninja gimmick is gone for Tozawa.

WWE Star Tozawa Has His Old Gimmick Back

Tozawa faced Grayson Waller and had his old look back. It’s interesting because he appeared on RAW last week in a segment with Baron Corbin and JBL.

The three played poker, and then Tozawa faced off with Corbin later on in the show. After RAW, he posted this cryptic tweet.

Guess Tozawa was hinting at a change. It’ll be interesting to see how this change will affect his storylines moving forward.

WrestleMania 43 seems like a lifetime away. However, the WWE likes to plan things well in advance for this flagship event, and it seems as if the event taking place in 2027 already has a location booked.

WrestleMania 43 News

The Grandest Stage of Them All is a week-long festivities, with many events happening along the way. Not to mention the fact that SmackDown and RAW are usually booked in the same city the Friday before ‘Mania and Monday after.

According to The Tennessean, WWE has given a “verbal commitment” to hold WM 43 in Nashville, Tennessee. However, there is one condition.

What’s The Stipulation?

As per the report, WM 43 can take place in Nashville “if” the city builds a football stadium that’s enclosed, within the next five years. The stadium would serve as the home for their NFL team, the Tennessee Titans.

Currently, a stadium is being proposed and presented to the Nashville Council. This will be voted in by the Metro Council.

In addition, the WWE sent out a statement, confirming they do have a plan to work with Nashville. While they did not confirm WM plans, they did note that they look forward to hosting “many” events in Nashville at the “proposed” enclosed stadium.

This year’s SummerSlam was held at the Nashville Nissan Stadium and had 48,000 fans in attendance. The event was a smashing success.

It looks as if the city is looking to continue this wrestling event momentum by bringing WWE’s biggest event to Nashville. Butch Spyridon, the city’s tourism person, predicts WM 43 could bring in over $200 million to the area.

Hosting WrestleMania would be a great thing for Nashville, but will it happen? Only time will tell.
