PFL Championship Results: Kayla Harrison Left Defeated

For the first time, the PFL took the pay-per-view. And for the first time, Kayla Harrison was defeated.

Harrison, an Olympic gold medalist, suffered her first career defeat in the main event. Larissa Pacheco claimed the lightweight title, $1 million and a piece of history.

The event took place from Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden from New York City. The main card aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

Pacheco, twice before bested by Harrison, had pushed the reigning champion to a decision in each of the two prior meetings. This time, though, it was Pacheco with her hands raised in victory.

In the co-main event, Brendan Loughnane topped Bubba Jenkins for the featherweight title. Loughnane caught Jenkins in the fourth round, finishing him for the win.

Ante Delija, Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Sadibou Sy and Rob Wilkinson were also winners of season-long tournaments, with each claiming $1 million. In a featured bout, Aspen Ladd got by Julia Budd.

The prelims saw Sheymon Moraes, Natan Schulte, Magomed Magomedkiermov, Dakota Ditcheva and Biaggio Ali Walsh earn wins. Ali Walsh, the grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, knocked out Tom Graesser in his PFL debut.
