The official trailer for the upcoming miniseries “The Santa Clauses,” which premieres on Disney+ on November 16, dropped on Thursday. To mark the occasion, the Hollywood star Tim Allen opened up about why it was “absolutely humbling” to return to the role of Santa Clause nearly 30 years after the original Santa Clause movie was made.

‘Absolutely Humbling’ To Play Santa Again
Allen, 69, opened up to People Magazine about why it’s “absolutely humbling” to take on the iconic role of Santa again.
“Walking on set the first day it was wonderful to watch the faces of kids and adults wide-eyed and smiling,” he explained. “It reminds me how this movie magic works.”
Allen isn’t the only star from previous Santa Claus movies to be returning for this project. Elizabeth Mitchell will be reprising her role as Carol, aka Mrs. Claus, while David Krumholtz is back as the lovable head elf Bernard. Even Eric Lloyd, who plays the son of Allen’s character Scott Calvin in the first three movies, is back for this one.
“To be on set again with so many of the original cast (more to come eventually) was like seeing family again,” Allen, 69, told People Magazine. “It’s almost as if time had stood still other than my age. I look younger now in the Santa makeup than I do out of it.”

In one of the funnier moments in the miniseries, the NFL star Peyton Manning interviews to be the new Santa!
“I am a huge football fan so the scenes with Manning were surreal,” Allen said of getting the chance to work with him. “I was in full Santa gear and in character so Tim Allen never had the chance to be a fan. The dude is too tall and too funny!”
"Can't wait to rub this in Brady's face!" 😅

The Santa Clause Movies
The first Santa Clause movie was a massive hit when it premiered back in 1994, earning over $144 million in the U.S. and over $189 globally. The film’s two sequels, 2002’s The Santa Clause 2 and 2006’s The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, were big hits as well.
Aside from starring in this miniseries, Allen will also be servicing as executive producer, with 30 Rock‘s Jack Burditt acting as the showrunner. Allen has previously found success in television with his sitcoms “Home Improvement” and “Last Man Standing,” each of which were on for many years. We hope that he’s able to replicate those successes with “The Santa Clauses” when it premieres on Disney+ next month!
